this weeks happenings..

We haven't done a whole lot lately..  Mostly just hanging out at home and playing while Bruce works..  The kids had me laughing one day because they were chasing a fly around the house with a bucket trying to catch it.. it entertained them for like 2 hours.. We have been making noodle pictures, coloring, watching movies, playing outside and walks, parks, wrestling, forts, one day we went to Costco for a free sample lunch.. the kids loved that and I think I might make it a weekly tradition.. and we also went to the mall because it was raining and we needed out of the house.. Its been a fun week and I am so grateful for these cute kiddos that keep me entertained.

splash pad

For the first time since we have been in Michigan it was 90 degrees out, so we had to go to the splash pad!  It was so much fun.  Bristyn had a blast and was running around like a wild indian.  Bo did not like it at first.. He hates showers, so the water falling down on him really bothered him.. once he got use to it and found the water that spits out of the ground he was in heaven and played for hours... and Brody was his normal perfect self and hung out in the stroller.  We went with Kim Riddoch and her kids and thankfully our girls play so good together!  Such a fun afternoon :)

eventful day

Today was a really good day.. The boys took their naps, and then we met Kim and Jessica at the park.  Of course they didn't touch the playground and ran around exploring and having fun.  Jessica left, and Kim and I stayed to wear our kids out a little more.  Probably 5 minutes after the kids and I walked in the door there was a knock at the door and Bruce was home early!  He already had 2 sales and the techs were booked for the day.. so they came home!  We went to dinner at a little diner and when we came out there was a deer standing next to our car.. so the kids had a lot of fun watching it for a minute.  After that we came home, and I got some much needed alone time with my hunny that lasted longer than an hour!  It was amazing.  It doesn't get dark here until about 9:45 so Bruce usually doesn't get home until 10:30-11pm.. so it felt good actually having him home at a decent hour :)  Also, Benson got engaged today!!!  We are bummed we weren't there, but we are super excited for him.  Brooklyn is a sweetheart.
