ward luau

My parents had a ward luau and we decided to tag along.  They had authentic hawaiian food, hawaiian games, and a luau show (we sadly left before the show) but it was alot of fun, and my kids loved the food!  

Brody is 2!

I blinked and my baby turned 2..  How is my baby 2???  Brody has grown up so much lately.. He is putting sentences together, does puzzles on the ipad like an expert, thankfully he is still content just being around Bruce and I.. but he is starting to play with Bristyn and Bo alot more.  He loves super heros (hulk, spiderman and batman) wants to do anything his brother and sister do, and has the cutest little teasing personality.  He is our major cuddle bug and his favorite place to be is right in the middle of Bruce and I in bed.. He will drag his pillow and blanket in our room early in the morning and snuggle up between us and fall back to sleep.  I just love this sweet boy so much.. He was our biggest surprise, and now that we have him we could never live without him.  Right after I had Bo when we were in the hospital I had the strongest feeling I had another baby waiting to come to earth.. I told Bruce and he looked at me like I was crazy because we just had a baby... but the promptings I continually got never went unnoticed.  When I found out I was pregnant with Brody I was so shocked, but now that I looked at it, I shouldn't have been because I knew Heavenly Father wanted him here with us.. I am so grateful for his plan and that he knows more than we do, because life without this precious boy just wouldn't be the same!  We love you Brody Rockford Brooks, and we are so grateful you are ours!  Happy birthday baby boy!!!

For his birthday we had a really laid back day, We took the kids to toys r us and let Brody pick out his present.. They had a blast running around trying to figure out what toys to get him.. then we went and rode the carousel a couple times.. and then lunch!  After naps we played all afternoon, and then my parents had Brody spend the night and took him out and spoiled him so Bruce and I could go on a date.  It was the perfect day for the perfect boy!  

April

April was a good month.. We had Brody's birthday, and Bruce was gone for a week for work, so the kids and I got the car and we spent every second we could with cousins or grandparents.  It was so much fun!!  It was hard having Bruce away, but since we only have one car the kids and I are stuck at home alot so it was fun that we were able to go and do a bunch of fun stuff.  I helped Jessica paint a dresser so the kids played all day, another day we went over to Justin's for dinner, we met Rhett and Ridge at the park, spent the night at Grandma and Papa (Riggs) for a few nights, spent some time with Grandpa and Meema (Brooks), and then we went to Brecken's so I could do a chalkboard for her and Bruce surprised us and showed up early!  It was a wonderful surprise to a fun week!  

-Poppy Ray fixed everyone dinner (Riggs and Jarvis) for his birthday.  It was the day after my d&c, so I almost didn't go.. but I am glad I did :)

-Bruce doing is yearly tree trimming for my parents

-playing at the park, I love that Bruce plays with them on the playground instead of just sitting there and watching them.

-We went out to dinner and goofy golfing for Colton's birthday.

-I was in laying down and Bruce was out in the garage.. I should have known Bo was being too quiet.  I found him trying to get his own ice cream!

-Bristyn learned how to write her name all by herself!

-We found a bee hive on our playhouse so Bruce decided to take it into his hands to get rid of them..He threw water balloons at them, hosed them down, covered their hole with rocks.. I am actually shocked no one got stung.. A few days later our landlord sent out a bee guy haha!  

-I love how close our kids are.. they are best friends

-We celebrated Brodys birthday with my family on Justin's birthday at his house. It was alot of fun!

-We babysat Kendall for a few hours and they had a blast
