thanksgiving and pneumonia

My angel has pneumonia.  I hope I never have to say that again.  She was sick a few weeks ago and it quickly went away but she kept a random cough.  She wouldn't cough very much, just randomly so I didn't think anything of it.  Well today it got really really bad.. like to the point she couldn't breathe.. So Bruce and I rushed her to a pediatric urgent care and sure enough after a quick xray she has pneumonia.  Thankfully it isn't contagious, and will go away with antibiotics, but it still makes me sad.  Poor girl.  

As for thanksgiving.. it was a really good and laid back day.  Rocky, Stacey and Little Rock got here yesterday so it has been amazing to hang out with them.. and Bristyn adores Rock.  Bruce was hunting but came home around 6pm.. and we just laid low and hung out at my parents house.  I have so much to be thankful for.  It has been a really hard year for our family..  Actually that is an understatement.. its been horrible.. but constantly Heavenly Father is showing us his love and what we have to be grateful for.  We have 2 gorgeous healthy children and 1 on the way.  We have a marriage and relationship that is unbreakable and precious. and we have the gospel.  What more could a girl ask for??  Not only am I grateful for all we have been given, I am also grateful for our trials..  not only are they humbling, but they make you realize what is really important in life.  I am just so grateful to be sealed to my sweet family for eternity.  

20 1/2 weeks

Seriously??!?! I'm half way there?? Time goes waaay too fast when you have two kids.  When I was pregnant with Bristyn I felt like it took forever, Bo went a little faster.. and this one is flying by.  We still don't have a name for our little guy.. hopefully someday soon we will pick one!  And this pregnancy is going by so much smoother..  It's weird.  haha!  I just can't wait to snuggle my new little guy!!

shopping

Shopping with this kids is always an adventure.  I just love how close they are.. they are truly best friends..  The other day Bristyn was talking to me and goes mommy we have the best Bristyn, the best Bo, the best Mommy, and the best Daddy.. Mommy we have the best family!!  And I have to agree with her.  

girls night!

Last night my mom planned such a fun girls night!  Every 2 months we get together with my cousins, aunt and grandma and we all have a girls night.. I seriously look forward to this night for weeks, and love spending time with these awesome ladies!  We eat yummy food, play games, and just talk.. This particular night we threw a party for my cousin Nacole because she decided to leave all of us and move her family to San Diego!  It was such a fun night celebrating her, and I am just so grateful for my family!

memories

We have had a whole lot of playing and a whole lot of family time lately.  I am beyond grateful for my sweet little family.  Things have been extremely crazy with Bruce going on so many work trips, and hunts in between.. But the times we do get to spend together are the best!!  I honestly do not know what I would do without my little family, and can't wait to add another!  Bruce is the best daddy, our kids adore him and they play constantly.  Bristyn is the most hilarious little girl I have met, I just love her so much.  She has me laughing daily... and Bo.. that boy melts my heart.  From his sweet spirit, to his contagious laugh and smile.  My heart is just so full of gratitude for this sweet family I've been blessed with.  

18 weeks pregnant!!

Wow, I seriously can't believe how fast this pregnancy is flying by!  I feel like I just found out I was pregnant, and here I'm almost half way there.  Words cannot express how excited I am for this sweet baby to come... We went to our ultrasound today and found out for sure that its a BOY!!!  I am so excited, I love boys!!  I'm not gonna lie, when I first found out I was completely shocked and totally scared.. but now that time has gone by I am so ready for this sweet boy to join our family.. Bruce and I were talking the other day.. we are almost more excited for this one than any.  He is just the perfect surprise for us :)  This pregnancy has gone SOOOO much better than my last two.  Besides constantly being tired, I have had no complications and I am just so grateful.  No spotting, no cramps, no pain in my right side.. just smooth sailing so far.  and its crazy because I am so much smaller than my first two, its kinda nice! haha.  

How far along? 18 weeks, 2 days

Maternity clothes?  I still wear normal clothes, this is a first and its so nice! I actually still fit in a few pairs of jeans :)
Stretch marks? no new ones
Sleep: Depends on the night, and if my other kids are up through the night... but it hasnt been too bad, I'm just always tired.
Best moment this week:  Just had my big ultrasound and everything looks perfect! He is completely healthy and I couldn't be more grateful for that!

new hair

I got new hair and its soooo different but I am loving it!  I have been blonde since highschool.. and by the time I went to get my hair done it had grown out.. alot.  I waited 6 months.  So we decided to switch it up and do ombre and honestly it is so nice not having to worry about the regrowth! haha.. I guess we will see how long it last before I go blonde again :)

Time out for Women

My mom took me to time out for women, and it ended up being alot of fun.  I'm not one that likes to sit in a giant room all day, but I'm grateful she dragged me along :)  There were some really touching stories and I walked away so grateful for my life, and for my husband, and my healthy children.  It's been a REALLY hard year for our little family.  Between Bruce constantly being sick with no end in sight, Bo having surgery and breaking his collar bone, the summer being horrible, Bruce leaving every few days for sales trips..It is so easy to just sit and feel sorry for yourself, but hearing all the wonderful talks made me look at all I have to be grateful for.. and it was much needed :)

Freestone Park

I've come to the conclusion that I need to be a more adventurous mom.. haha!  Since Bruce was on a sales trip (again) I called Katrina and asked if her and Kendall wanted to meet us at Freestone, and we had a blast!  They got to ride the train, chase ducks, almost fall in the nasty lakes, ride the carousel, and run down the hills.  seriously it was the perfect morning!  Thank you Katrina for tagging along.  Kendall and Bristyn are exactly a year apart, and I cant wait for them to grow up being best friends!!

11 months old

How is it possible that my baby boy is going to be one in just a month!!!  I seriously cannot believe how fast this year has flown by.  We have had so many ups and downs, and we wouldn't trade having this sweet boy in our family for anything.  He keeps us laughing daily with his million facial expressions, hilarious personality, and sweet disposition.  I just love every minute of being this boys mom!

At 11 months:

-Walks and has for 2 weeks now

-has 6 teeth

-can get off the couch successfully

-loves balls and blocks

-when he gets excited to see someone he hits them in the face and attacks them

-loves his big sister.. they are best friends, and Bristyn tells me that daily.

-eats anything and everything you put in front of him.. the crazy kid eats more than his sister

-still wears size 4 diapers

-is about to grow out of his 12 month clothes, and finally has his first pair of shoes

-takes 2 good naps a day, and sleeps from 8-9pm to 7am

-He is a total mommy's boy, but loves playing with daddy

-loves wrestling and playing

-loves being outside.. the second the door opens he runs outside.. He also does the same thing with the bathroom..yikes!

-We just put Bristyn's big girl bed up, so they are in the same room now and he loves having his sissy in his room!

-Still has a couple bottles a day, but LOVES water!

-gets into EVERYTHING :)

Out of Africa

We found an awesome deal on groupon, so we decided to take the kids to Out of Africa..  Honestly I do not know who liked it more.. Bristyn or Bo!  They both had an absolute blast seeing the shows, and looking at all the animals..  It was such a fun day with my little family!
