New Years Eve

2015 was a pretty good year for us.. We had a fun summer and moved into our new rental house.. But for me it has probably been my biggest learning year.  Things have been pretty hard for us the last few years.. and after going through it for awhile it has made me realized that life can be hard, and not what you expect but the most important thing is your family.  As long as your family is happy, and you are happy with who you are nothing else matters.  It doesn't matter if you own your own home, have tons of money in the bank account, keep up with everything everyone else has or does.. what matters is the bond you build with your family and making sure it is the most important thing on this earth.  Bruce and I promised each other when Bristyn was born that we would always put each other first.. Our kids are extremely important, but without a strong marriage and bond between us everything else falls apart and this year I realized how grateful I am that we have made that so important in our marriage.  So this year I am grateful for my family.  My amazing husband and my three kids...  Without them life wouldn't be worth living and I am so grateful I have them to go through the ups and downs of life with!

New Years Eve was absolutely perfect this year!!!  We invited all Bruce's siblings over... had yummy food, lite fireworks, talked and took silly pictures!  Everyone came over and was gone by 9:00 so we put our kids to bed and relaxed.  It was so fun spending time with everyone but being able to ring in the new year with just my husband.  I sure love him :)  Let pray 2016 is a good year!

Christmas with the Riggs

After Bruce's parents we headed to my parents house to exchange gifts with everyone and play a few games.. The games were new this year and so much fun!!! We ate a little and just relaxed after a crazy day.. It was the perfect end to an awesome day!  We have been so blessed with two amazing families that make holidays so much fun..

Christmas with the Brooks

Every Christmas we eat a yummy breakfast at Bruce's parents house.. play the funnest games in the world.. and open presents!  It is the absolute best.  We did our usual unwrapping game with dice and gloves.. Then we played a new one where the couples have to dress eachother up as santa and see who has the fastest time, and then the usual Brooks lotto.. this year we did a kids lotto too and Bristyn won!  We look forward to Christmas with the Brooks every year and have made some amazing memories!!

Christmas morning and Grandma Sue's

The kids woke up bright and early so excited for Santa!!  We went in and opened presents and watched as the kids eyes would light up with each present.  After playing with our toys for a little bit we headed over to Grandma Sue's to exchange gift and give them hugs!  It was a quick trip, but a good one..  They gave the kids the most comfy blankets and they instantly had to roll up in them.
