Halloween 2013!!

This year Bristyn was Belle, and Bo was a pirate.. My plan was for Bris to be Cinderella, and Bo to be Gus Gus the mouse, but plans change haha!  Bristyn had so much fun, and begged to wear makeup!  We went over to his parents house to trick or treat with Brookie, Dalan, Rhett & Ridge..  It was so much fun!!!!

Bristyn had her preschool Halloween party and was so excited to dress up as Belle!  The last two months she has told us she has wanted to be Cinderella, but when we went to buy her costume she insisted she was Belle!  She looked adorable, and was so excited to wear it to school!  They decorated pumpkins, had a couple games, and made sugar cookies!

Bruce's mom decided to throw a fun Halloween party this year since the kids are getting older, and it ended up being a blast!  We had yummy food, a pumpkin carving contest, decorations, and some games!  Bruce really got into the pumpkin carving.. We decided to do a deer head because its "hunting season"  he had me draw and cut out the head, then he did the cleaning up, and added a rifle and arrow on each side.. It turned out so cute!!

Bo is walking

How is it possible that my baby is walking?!!!? Bristyn started walking with stuff and taking steps around 7 months, and was full blown walking at 10 months..  Bo on the other hand really had no desire to start walking.  He would walk along furniture and that was it.  I figured he wouldn't be walking until right around a year.. and I was totally okay with that..  Randomly like 10 days ago he just started taking steps... and now he is full blown walking.. at 10 1/2 months old!!! He sure pulled a fast one on us.  Bruce says he walks like a dinosaur, its so stinkin cute!!

Bruce and Bristyn had such a blast fishing yesterday, they decided to head back up to woods canyon lake with Bruce's dad, and grandpa because it was his day off.  They were up there ALL day long, and the only fish caught was a huge rainbow trout of Bristyn's Barbie fishing pole!  She even reeled it in, and Bruce caught it on video thankfully.. Cutest thing ever!

Bruce has wanted to take the kids fishing for awhile now, so we decided to finally go!  I was super nervous taking Bo, but it ended up being a blast!  We caught 3 fish, and Bristyn had so much fun reeling in her Barbie fishing pole!  Uncle Benson went with us and Bristyn had fun teasing him the whole time.  As we were packing up to leave we looked up and their was a cow elk right next to our car..  We decided to get up close to it, and it was not afraid at all!  Bristyn was in absolute heaven!  Sadly Bo was already asleep in the car, because he would have loved it too!  

I'm 26!

In between the craziness of Bruce being gone, I had a birthday..  Bruce felt so bad being gone on my birthday, but we knew he had to go..  He took me out to dinner the night before he left, and then sent me the most gorgeous flowers on my birthday.  My mom tried to make it as eventful as possible for me.. haha!  My sister in law took Bristyn to the park for 3 whole hours.. she had an absolute blast and came home and fell asleep the second I laid her in the bed.  Then my dad watched both kids during their naps while my mom and I went shopping.. After that everyone came over for pizza and a yummy dairy queen ice cream cake.. It ended up being a really good day!  

Daddy is gone

Well Bruce went on a work trip from October 7th to October 20th. That was a LONG two weeks!!! We decided to pack up and go stay at Grandma Tina's house..  It was an eventful two weeks, both kids were sick, Bo was teething and got 2 teeth.. he started taking steps and took his first 5 steps on the 16th... he also decided he wanted to wake up at 3am every morning for a bottle (seriously?!? didn't I finally just get him to sleep through the night) lovely teething.. But in between the hard stuff we had a lot of fun!  Two days before Bruce came home I decided to pack up and come home..  Bristyn had been begging to go home because she wanted her toys.. and I just was ready to be home.  Lets just say they got almost every toy out to play with and had a blast!!  And when daddy finally came home it was a huge celebration!  Bristyn was so excited to pick up her daddy on the big airplane!   It was a very long two weeks for all of us!!!!!
