I was lucky enough to be able to go to Women's Conference 2 weeks ago! I had so much fun with my mom, and sister-in-laws, and we made memories we will cherish forever! We arrived in Salt Lake on Wednesday and we were able to spend some time at Temple Square. We ate the the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, and then we all went to the Temple and did a session! The live session was amazing, and I can't wait to go back with Bruce. It was my first time being in Utah (if you don't count when Bruce and I drove through) so I was enjoying every minute of it! After we played around in Salt Lake for a few hours, we drove to Provo and got situated with our dorms! It was so much fun, and I am so grateful I was able to go! Stacey was my room mate, and we had lots of late night chats, junk food, and fun adventures!
I was kinda nervous to go to Women's Conference. I didn't know how it would be, or if I would like it.. and I can honestly say I am totally looking forward to going again next year. There were tons of classes to choose from every hour, and it was so nice to be spiritually fed for a few days. There was one class that completely hit home for me, and it helped me sooo much and it was just what I needed. Bruce and I have been trying to get pregnant for almost 2 years now, and my sister-in-law and brother have also been trying for 11 years.. It is something that Stacey and I have in common, and because of it we have become super close. As we were on the airplane heading to Salt Lake we were reading over all the classes and there was one titled "Unanswered Prayers" and as soon as we read the description we both looked at each other and said this is a must! As we got to the class, little did we know the lady speaking had also struggled with infertility and so she related her whole talk on infertility and the struggles of it. I shed so many tears as the lady was talking, and she gave me some many new insights on it... and over all her talk helped me so much! It made me realize a lot of things... The main thing I realized is yes, I want a baby more than anything in this world.. It literally consumes my mind every day, but i need to look at all the amazing things I have in my life and be grateful. The day will come that I will be able to be a mother, and until then I just need to enjoy every minute of my life and be so grateful for what I already have. I am so grateful I went to Women's Conference, and for the sweet spirit I felt the entire time I was there!
