Here are a few things Bristyn has said lately that I've written down...

As Bristyn is sitting on the toilet she looks up at me and goes mom guess what!?  Sometimes girls go to work and sometimes girls poop and sometimes boys pee.  I've seen daddy pee before mom! haha

We are in the front yard and Bristyn is being super quiet over in the corner and i can't see her.. So I yell Bristyn what are you doing?  and she goes nothin.  So a couple minutes go by and I say Bristyn what are you doing? And she goes nothin.. and I go then why do I hear you throwing rocks?? And she goes oh that.. Well these aren't rocks, they are pixie dust mom.

She constantly walks around the house calling Bo hunny.. and when I ask her why she calls him hunny she says, well Daddy is your hunny, so Bo is mine.. and she gets mad when he doesn't respond.

haircut

BoBo has needed a haircut for awhile now, so I decided to do it before his baby brother comes!  He always looks so grown up when he gets a haircut.  I just love this little cutie so dang much!  He is hilarious and keeps us laughing constantly.. I seriously don't know what we did without him!

Moving....

This last week has been a very bitter-sweet week for us.  We have moved out of our little house.  We have lived in this house by the Temple for 5 years on and off.  We lived there for about 3, then moved out for a year and then back in the last two years.  We have left our stuff here every summer so we just come back and pick up where we left off.  As much as we didn't like the surrounding area, we loved our neighborhood, and loved living here.  We have had so many memories.  When Bruce and I were first married... We had a few dumb scares that we called his dad at 2am to come check the house.. We brought Bo home to this house.. We built a home out of this little house.  We created memories that I will cherish for the rest of our lives.  Sadly we have outgrown the house, and with a third baby coming we had no room.  We are leaving for the summer May 1st and instead of packing up the house and moving out after the baby, I begged Bruce to move out now before the baby comes.  So we moved into my parents house and we will be here for a month until we leave for the summer.. and when we get back from the summer we are planning on moving to Boise, Idaho in October.  We have so many changes coming our way, and I am so excited.. but sad to say goodbye to our old life.  I can't wait to see what is in store for us :)

Our baby is no longer breech!!!!!!!!

That means no more c-section for this girl.  I cannot even express to you how grateful I am.  I was sure I would end up getting a c-section, and I had come to terms with it.. but was still struggling.  I am one of those weird people that LOVE giving birth.  I have really hard pregnancies and my reward for the hard 9 months is of course the baby, and giving birth.  It is the most Spiritual experience.  I would honestly give birth every day if I could.. I know I'm weird, I just love it that much.  I guess I am just lucky and I have had two amazing and easy birth experiences so I love it.  There is nothing better than going through labor only to hear your sweet baby cry for the first time, and then the nurses lay him on your chest.  Heaven is so close in those first moments, it is just something I cherish and love.  When I was told I might have to get a c-section I was terrified I would miss out on those special experiences.. I was terrified of something new.. I am just so grateful!  I had my Dr. appointment today and since I am 37 weeks they decided to check me.  The first thing I said when I walked in was Dr. Huff I don't want a c-section!  When he went to check me he goes well guess what, I feel a head.  I told him he was lying and he said no really that would be the hardest butt I've ever felt.  I freaked out!!  He then felt my stomach and confirmed feeling the head down and said he was so sure he doesn't need an ultrasound.  I was so grateful I cried on the way home.  My prayers have been answered!!!  Now I just have to pray he keeps head down for the next 2 weeks!  I am just sooo happy and sooo grateful!  It makes alot of sense because for like 3 days straight I was in so much pain I could hardly get off the floor..  Poor Bruce was packing our house and all I could do was lay there.  I'm guessing that is when he flipped.

Don't worry we still don't have a name..  sad day..  I just pray when we meet him the right name will come to us.

Girls night/Diaper shower

My sweet mom threw together a little girls night/diaper shower for me with my cousins and grandmas.. It was so much fun!  Every couple months we get together with my cousins, Grandma Sue, sister in laws, mom and aunt Julie and do a girls night.. I seriously look forward to it every time.. this group of girls is so much fun!  We invited Grandma Elaine this time since we were having a little diaper shower and everyone was so generous and sweet!  The only people we were missing was Stacey and Nacole!  It was a blast, and of course there was delicious food!  I have the best mom ever for putting it together!

These two are so excited to see daddy, they won't even let him out of their site.  It warms my heart to see how much the love and adore him, and the bond they share with him.  Best daddy ever!!!  It helps that he's hot too :)

Bruce is 31!!

My poor husband had a very lousy birthday this year..  I was so excited and had the entire day planned and all those plans were canceled.. Since he was gone for our anniversary we were going to have a huge anniversary/birthday date!  I got babysitters and we were going to have sleepovers so Bruce and I could finally have some much needed one on one time. The kids and I were going to take him to breakfast, go to the new riverview park, go to lunch, and then we were going to drop the kids off around 4 and we were going to go to dinner, a play at the Hale Theater, and then dessert after.  Instead of the fun day I had planned Bruce was flying ALL day.  His flight was suppose to leave Tulsa the day before his birthday.. he got to the airport to find out his flight was canceled.  He was then told he would catch an early flight on the morning of his birthday and would be here by noon.. After a million delays the poor guy finally got here at 6pm and was too exhausted to do anything.  I was so bummed.

I am just so grateful for Bruce and for the man that he is.  He really amazes me daily, and is always willing to help anyone in need.  He is trustworthy and a man of his word.. and I love that about him.  I am just so grateful that he is mine.  Hopefully next year he can have a better birthday :)

36 weeks

So I will be 37 weeks on Saturday.. so crazy!!!  Since I will either be induced or have my c-section at 39 weeks that means we get to meet our little guy in about 2 1/2 weeks.. yikes! That is so soon!!! I am so excited and so nervous all in one.. It is getting VERY real. haha. I am about to be a mom of three.  It amazes me that 4 years ago we had no kids and were begging for a baby, and today we have 3 kids.  How lucky and grateful are we???  Each pregnancy has been so different.  I am just so excited to meet out little guy.  We are trying to decide if we are going to name him Brix.  We both LOVE that name, and it feels so right, but we call Bristyn, Bris alot.. and it really concerns Bruce that they are too close.  Obviously we can start calling her by her name, but Bruce is having a hard time because we have called her Bris since she was a baby.  So we will see... I think once we meet him we will know for sure.  As of right now his name will either be Brix Rockford Brooks (after my dad and brother) or Baer Rockford Brooks.  We cannot agree on names, and obviously Brix is our first choice, but if it doesn't feel right Baer is the only other name we both like enough to use, and that feels like it could be right. Who knows, maybe it will change in the next 2 weeks! We will see :) I am just soooo excited!!!

Here is a picture of me 36 weeks pregnant with all 3 babies.. I am defiantly bigger with this baby than I was with Bo.. and its hard to tell with Bristyn, but with Bristyn I had preclampsia so I had lots of water weight and swelling..

My husband comes home tomorrow and I seriously cannot wait.  It has been a long couple months and it is finally coming to an end.  I am so proud of him... He has worked HOURS upon HOURS to start up his new company and it is finally paying off.  They are in going to be in Tulsa, Oklahoma this summer and they are in a really sweet program.  Bruce is really pumped about it.  He has been there the last two weeks getting everything started and knocking, and so far they are doing awesome!  I am just so proud of him.  Its been a long couple months, but it has payed off!!  Thankfully he will be back here until the baby is born and we will all go together on May 1st!  I am just so excited to start this new adventure.  We have never EVER been apart this much, and it has been soooo hard, but it will be all worth it in the end, and I am so glad there is an end in site. (at least for being apart so much) haha.

camping

We went camping for a day and had a blast.. Haha! My dad planned the trip, and Bruce was originally suppose to be here, but he had to stay in Oklahoma for work.. and I asked my Dr if I could go.  With the green light I decided to take the kids up there and I'm glad I did.  I was absolutely miserable but they had so much fun.  We planned on camping the whole weekend, but yesterday it started raining and snowing and it was just yucky and muddy and cold so we packed up and came home.  The kids had an absolute blast!!! I wish Bruce could have been there... They went fishing yesterday morning before it started snowing and Bristyn loved it.. Bo stayed back at camp with me so he could take a nap.. then everyone got back and we packed up and came home.  Next time we will have to go longer and when its warmer.  

Best friends

These two are absolute best friends and it just melts my heart to see them play together.. They chase each other around all day long.. hug and kiss each other constantly.. and just love being together.  It's so cute to see them finally at the stage where they can really play and be close. I just love it!

bouncy house

My dad bought this bounce house a few years ago, and is finally getting some use out of it.. The grandkids love it!!  Bristyn asks for it daily, and Bo loves climbing in and out.  They have so much fun.. especially when their cousins are around to play in it too!

7 years ago this amazing man took me to the Temple.

I entered the Temple seeing the love of my life, in complete tears.. It was the first time that day I was nervous, little did I know he was crying because of the sacred thing we were about to do, not because he was going to leave me haha!  We entered the Temple (after we realized we both forgot our recommends) and were sealed for time and all eternity.  

I remember my parents were driving me to the Temple and my dad goes Chanteal, seriously are you okay? and I go of course why?? and he goes you aren't even nervous.  All I could say was why would I be nervous, I know I'm making the right decision!  Making the choice of marrying Bruce was so easy, I just knew he was the one for me.  In fact, I knew the second time I met him...  and daily he reminds me that it was the right decision.  

We have had our trails, we have had our ups and downs.. but mostly there have been ups.. and there is no one else I would rather go through this life with.  He is my rock.  my best friend.  and the love of my life.  I cannot wait to spend eternity with him!!!

Dr appointments

The kids had their annual Dr. appointments.. Bristyn's 3 year and Bo's 15 month.  Bristyn loves the Dr.  and Bo.. doesn't haha!  Bo had to get shots (maybe thats why) and luckily Bristyn didn't..  I sure loves these cuties of mine!

Bristyn's 3 year stats:

Weight- 34 lbs. - 50%

Height- 39'' - 90%

Bo's 15 month stats:

Weight- 22 pounds 7 ounces - 20%

Height- 32 1/2'' - 90%

Head- 18 1/2 - 50%
