We have been LOVING San Antonio.. I will actually be really sad to leave here..  Bristyn and Bo are growing up before my eyes and it makes me sad.  I swear over night Bristyn started saying even more words and repeating most the things I say, or at least tries.. and Bo is getting bigger by the minute!  I am just so grateful to be the mom to these two cuties.  When we get time with daddy it makes everything perfect!!

Date Night!!

My sweet husband surprised my and took me on a date yesterday!  He text me around 5pm and said I was thinking we would go on a date, I'll ask Rocky is he can watch the kids..  I was in tears... I needed a night out so bad!  Since he has been sick we have not been out to eat once, gone anywhere but the grocery store pretty much... and I really just needed a night out!  We went downtown to the river walk and it was so much fun!  It was so laid back.. The actuall river walk was so crowded, so we walked around for awhile and then sat down at a nearby park and just talked.  It was probably one of the funnest dates we have had in years.  I don't know if it was just cause I needed a night out with my husband or what, but it was amazing!  Thank you hunny, I love you so much!!

San Antonio Zoo!!

 We went to the San Antonio zoo yesterday before Bruce had to go to work, and had so much fun!  Bristyn was is heaven and completely overwhelmed all at the same time!  Bo loved being outside and I was in heaven doing something with Bruce!  The San Antonio zoo was by far the coolest zoo I have been to!

Bristyn had me laughing so hard yesterday too!  We were at the zoo for a few hours, and she walked the entire time so I figured by the time we got home she would be pooped and would take a good nap! She had something else in mind.. She played in her bed for like an hour, which is completely normal.. But instead of falling asleep after she threw all her toys out, took her sheet off her mattress, threw it out, then the mattress and then started holding to the side and jumping up and down.. when that wasn't enough she started running in circles in her pack and play.  It was seriously hilarious!!  I am pretty sure she was trying to tell me she is done with nap time! haha

Bo

Just when I thought it wasn't possible for him to get cuter he surprises me!!  This boy is SOOOO happy!  Honestly I don't know what we did without him.. He is just the best!!  He still scoot/hops on his back and its hilarious.. He has mastered rolling over both ways.. He is starting to scoot on his belly too.. He is just getting too big, too fast!!!

Bristie Boo

This girl is growing before my eyes and it makes me so sad.  She does so many things right now that i LOVE, and I am terrified they are going to go away.  I just love this girl more than anything in this world!!!

-she has to have a kiss from me no matter how bad her owie is, and it always makes it better.. and if daddy is home, he has to kiss it too!

-she will randomly yell mommy mommy mommy until I say what and she smiles and goes Hi Mom!  

-she randomly needs a hug and its more often then not.

-I am HER mommy, and Bruce is HER daddy.

-She is the biggest pouter, and a big hug is all it takes to get rid of it!

-she is ALWAYS happy in the morning.

-If she wants you to sit down with her she pats the seat next to her and says mommy or daddy sit.

-when she has to go potty instead of just telling me she comes running to me and yells run run RUUUUUN potty! haha

-when we get to the street she says mommy hand cars!

-She loves to be carried around.. my brother Chad asked me who I have to carry more Bo or Bristyn haha!  and I love it... I know she won't want to be carried forever, so I cherish it.

-She is all of a sudden super shy..  she comes across as a brat because she is so shy, but in reality she talks about the person we are going to see the whole way there, and then the second we are leaving she  talks about them again.

-She talks in 3rd person.. She always says her name first!

-when she is concerned or is talking about something serious she gives me the most concerned face and tilts her head a little to the right.

-every color is blue.  If I ask her what color something is, and she doesn't want to think about it she always says blue haha

-She has to have EVERY princess she owns in her bed when she sleeps, and if one is missing she will ask for it until its put in her bed.

-She knows all the princess names, but only says Rellie (Cinderella) White (Snow White) and Coco (Pocahontas) all the rest she calls Barbie haha.

-all her clothes are pretties

-There are only a few movies she calls by their name..  Tangled is the barbie horsey movie, Enchanted and Sleeping Beauty is the dragon movie, Cinderella is Rellie, Brave is the bear movie, Open Season is the bear deer movie, Horton Hears a Who is the elephant movie..

There are so many adorable things she does.. I just want to keep her this little forever.

I am having so much fun watching these two cuties become closer and closer as the days go by.  Every morning when Bristyn wakes up.. after going potty she asks for Bo... if he is awake she practically mauls him, and if he is asleep she asks every 10 minutes if Bo is awake yet.  Every morning when they see each other they have a little love fest.. Bo won't take his eyes off of her until she comes over to give him loves, and she lays on top of him, hugs him, kisses him, you name it and she does it.. all while he laughs.  It melts my heart!!  

potty training

Well we have started the dreaded potty training!!!  Day 1 went amazing.. Bristyn did sooooo good, and I was so proud of her.  She only had 2 accidents all day and it was in the morning, and she seriously loved it.  Day 2 (today) was hard.  She had 1 successful trip to the potty before her nap... the rest of the time she would come up to me 1 second before she needed to go and she would pee the whole way to the toilet.  After her nap she did waaaay better!  She only had 1 accident, and it was because she didn't want to get up from watching her movie so she peed on the chair (thank heavens this isn't our house and furniture.) She also didn't take a nap so it made for a long hard day for me.  Saddly I think her napping days are numbered..  Thankfully she will just play in her bed.. but it still stinks.  Usually she will play in her bed for about an hour before her 2 hour nap.. but about 1 or 2 times a week she will skip the sleeping part and she just plays.. She loves being in there, so I let her play... But the poor girl is ready to crash by 6:30-7 if she doesn't nap.  Everyone I have talked to says day 2 is the hardest, so hopefully tomorrow is better.  

Have I mentioned how stinkin adorable she looks in underwear????????  I am pretty sure it's my favorite!  I just love that girl, she makes me laugh all day long!  She loves to run up to Bo after she has a successful potty trip and tell him all about it.. and she LOVES her Barbie (princess) undies. She tells me all day long, mommy barbie stay dry. haha  

another Bruce update

Well Bruce is still sick..  Not nearly as bad, but he is.  When we got her he made an appointment with a gastrologist, and went in for another endoscopy.  Thankfully the inside of his stomach looks amazing.  When he had his endoscopy in November he had h-pylori, severe gastritis, damage to his esophagus  and it was just all around REALLY bad.  The Dr. told him he would have to be on P.P.I.'s (a pill to help the gastritis) the rest of his life... Well thankfully when he just got his endoscopy the Dr. said everything had completely healed and he looked amazing inside.  What an answer to prayers!!!!  The bad thing.. those P.P.I's he was on.. Bruce is one of the few that has bad side effects from it.  It is what killed his gall bladder, it caused him to get a bacteria in his small intestine, and it is what has made him so sick.  They did a test on him and found out he has a bacteria in his small intestine, and so he has to be on a Low Fodmap diet, and take some antibiotics that will hopefully kill it.  This Low Fodmap diet is soooo hard.  Basically he can't eat anything with gluten, dairy, or sweeteners like honey in it.  The main things he cannot eat that are in EVERYTHING is onion of any kind, garlic of any kind or honey.  There are certain fruits and veggies he can and cannot eat.. and certain dairy items he can and cannot eat.  I am at a lost 90% of the time on what to make. Every one of my recipes have either garlic or onion in it somehow haha.  So it has been pretty interesting   I just pray this will help him and he can get back to feeling 100%

This little cutie loves bath time!  He just sits there and talks/smiles the entire.  Bristyn thinks its so much fun to have a little friend in the tub too.  She likes to see how many different places she can move his seat in... and he just smiles at her the entire time.  

walks

These two look forward to our nightly walks every day.. and I am pretty sure I do too.  We don't go out a ton, so its nice to get out of the apartment.  Its amazing how quick the day goes by when I have two kids to chase after, and then working makes it even crazier.  I am so grateful to be the mom to these two cuties.  They bring so much joy into my life!  

story time

These kids LOVE story time!  

Daily we lay on the floor together and read book after book.  Bristyn acts too busy looking at other books, but the second I stop reading she is handing me another book to read.. and Bo loves looking at the pages!  

Bristyn is also obsessed with going out on the balcony.  She has a "friend" the lizard that she looks for daily.. and get so excited when it is there, and sad when it isn't.  Every morning she goes to the window to tell my Mommy my friend gone... or Mommy my friend back!  Its too cute.  I just love them
