Phoenix Childrens Museum

We were able to go to the Phoenix Children's Museum with Rocky, Stacey, and little Rocky and it was so much fun!  Bristyn seriously had a blast..  We weren't able to stay for too long because Bristyn was exhausted and needed her 2nd nap.  It was so much fun to watch the kiddos explore and have fun.  I think Bristyn's 2 favorite things were the slide, and then there was a part where you can stand on and air will blow up on you.. She was in heaven!  She thought it was the coolest thing ever..  She had us laughing pretty hard!  Bruce's favorite part was the noodle forest.  Haha he loved it!!  I'm so grateful we were able to go and watch her experience something new and fun :)

Wicked!!!

My sweet hubby took me to the play Wicked last night, and it was incredible!  We went with my little brother and a date, and then my beautiful mom!  It was so much fun to get out on a date with my man :)  I knew Bristyn was in good hands, and had so much fun playing with Rhett at Brookie and Dalans..  I guess we need to start taking advantage of date nights, because we won't have any babysitters this summer!  I am so grateful I was able to go and enjoy one on one time with Bruce!

Kendall Gene Riggs!

I have another niece and she is adorable!  She graced us with her presence 2 1/2 weeks early.. at 12:28pm with lots of gorgeous brown hair, weighing 8 lbs. 5 oz.   She is just beautiful.. I am so grateful I was able to be there right when she was born!  It's kinda neat, she was named after her grandfather Phillip Eugene, that passed away exactly 4 months ago today..  What a special girl and a special day!!! 

our little Valentine :)

I couldn't help but take some pictures of our little princess yesterday!  She is such a little sweetheart.  The poor girl hasn't been herself since her shots on Monday but she slowly started being her crazy self again yesterday.  We had a really fun Valentines night..  Grammie and Grandpa Brooks watched Bristyn while we enjoyed some delicious food with Brookie and Dalan...  Between Brookie worrying about knocking the candle over, our waitress beating Bruce with her paper she writes your order on,  and Bruce stealing Brookie's dessert without realizing it I think we laughed the whole night!  It was a blast!  

I have a really funny story that happened yesterday... So I try to feed Bristyn pretty healthy for every meal.. I make sure she gets her fruits and veggies and I try hard not to give her processed food.  Well I have heard that tofu is really good for babies so while I was at the grocery store I decided to get some for her.  Now let me start by telling you Bristyn LOVES her meal times.. all i have to say is, "are you ready for num nums, or are you ready for breakfast, lunch or dinner?" and she comes running!  She will even start crying if she feels like she cant get there fast enough.  Then I will put her in her highchair with her big smile and she will curiously look at everything on her plate and then pick what she wants to eat first.  Well yesterday for lunch I decided to give her some tofu, some green beans, cauliflower, and some blue berries.   Keep in mind she loves fruits and veggies, that is usually what she will eat first!  So she looks at the tofu and decided to try it.. she makes a really funny face, throws it (she usually never throws food) and yells MA!  She then decides to try it again and does the same thing going ma ma ma ma ma... She then proceeds to take all the food on her plate and throw it on the floor all while yelling at me and crying.. haha I learned a very important lesson yesterday.. never mess with Bristyn's food!  I then had to hurry up and make her a pb&j and gave her more fruits and veggies and she quickly began eating with a smile.. almost like nothing ever happened.. It was seriously hilarious!  I don't think Bristyn has ever been that mad at me..  I guess no more tofu for this girl :)

my Valentine

I'm not gonna lie, I think I have the best Valentine in the world :)

You know how you grow up always thinking there is going to be just one perfect person for you.. and when you meet that person a lightning bolt will hit you and tell you he's the one!!

Well... thankfully I found my perfect person, and throughout our two years of dating Heavenly Father reminded me time and time again that indeed he was the one for me.

I don't know what I did to deserve my sweet husband.. but he is the best thing that ever happened to me.  He loves me when I'm a complete brat, he thinks I'm beautiful when I am laying on the couch in glasses and sweats with no makeup on... and he is constantly reminding me that he thinks I'm a wonderful mother. I am so grateful I get to fall asleep with him by my side and to wake up in his arms in the morning.  I am so grateful that he is my absolute best friend in the entire world and that every day I wake up loving him more than when I fell asleep.  I feel so blessed that he is going to be my Valentine for eternity.

Dr. Checkup

Today we had Bristyn's 12 month checkup.  She was having so much fun ripping the paper off the table.. i think Bruce had to roll out new paper like 3 times..  haha!  And she loves our Dr.  Every time she sees him she wants him to hold her.  Today she was pushing my hands away because I was holding her back from letting him hold her, it was pretty funny!  She got 3 shots today, but has been such a trooper!  I swear it kills me every time she cries over those dang shots!

We have a tall and lean girl!  Thankfully she is perfectly healthy and doing great so far!

Party time!!!

The night of Bristyn's birthday we had a little party with family and it turned out to be alot of fun! Bris loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse so I did a Minnie theme!  She was such a trooper, she only had 1 nap but you never would have been able to tell!  We had pizza and salad with lots of goodies, and then played a little pin the flower on Minnie game for the kids!  It was so much fun celebrating her!  She got so many amazing gifts and we are so grateful that everyone came!  I still can't believe my baby is one!
