Park with the cousins!

When all the guys went to the Priesthood session of conference we decided to all meet at the park by Katrina's house!  It was so much fun... Bristyn loves the park, and there were so many kids there she was having a blast watching them all.  Kylie has a bike that has a doll basket on the back.. We decided to see if Bristyn could fit in it, and she loved it! They seriously rode that bike together for like 30-45 minutes..  Bristyn and Kylie are the best of friends and love each other to death.  Kylie is so helpful with Bris, and Bris loves to follow Kylie around.  

only 4 days

It has only been 4 days without Bruce and I am already dying to see him.  Bristyn has been super sick since he left, and thankfully she is starting to get better.  It is so hard having a sick baby, and even harder having a sick baby without Bruce here.  Luckily he made it to Pittsburgh safely and says its beautiful..  We drove through Pennsylvania when we were going and coming from Massachusetts, I love how pretty it is there!  Haha he called me yesterday saying he had a spicy ham sandwich... with cole slaw, tomatoes, french fries and cheese on it.  I really hope the rest of the restaurants don't serve those sandwiches!!  

Anyways.. well I have 4 days down and 11 days to go. Wish me luck :)

summer #6

Yet again we are heading out for another summer!  Bruce is actually leaving on Tuesday, and I fly out on April 11th.  (in 2 weeks)  I am dreading the fact that we will be apart, but I am flying out with another wife (Kassi) and she wants to stay for Easter.  I am pretty excited for this summer, but at the same time I am dreading it because Bristyn loves being around our families and its sad she won't see them for 6 whole months..  We might have to make a trip home!  

Bristyn loves Kendall

Our sweet Bristyn LOVES babies..  and when Kendall came along I was kinda nervous to see how she would act with her.. But she LOVES her!  She always wants to hold her, gives her lots of hugs and kisses and just loves her to pieces.  It is so dang cute!  I am so excited when these girls grow up.. They are only 13 months apart, and I have a feeling they are going to have so much fun together!

snack time

I couldn't get over how cute Bristyn was today!  She never sits still, but something got into her and she was having so much fun watching cartoons and eating her graham cracker.  She seriously has me laughing constantly.

A party for Bruce!

In my family Birthdays are a huge deal... and Bruce hates parties, so every year my mom sneaks behind his back and plans a little something for him.  I love any chance I get to celebrate how special my hubby is.. I am so grateful for him and all he does for our little family!

 We finally got a picture of the four generations!!!  My grandma Elaine, my mom, me, and Bristyn! I sure love these ladies :)

Happy Birthday Bruce!!!!

Happy Birthday to the most amazing man I know!!  Not only does he treat me like a queen, but he is the best daddy in the world!  I am sooooo grateful Bruce was born :)  

After 29 years, Bruce is still the hottest guy around ;)  I am so grateful for him and for all he does for me.  You can ask any of my brothers, he has a lot to put up with.. but he is so patient and sweet to me.  It melts my heart to see the look he gives his daughter.. They have the absolute cutest relationship and play and tease each other all day long.  I can have the worst day, and just by seeing those two together all the worries of the day go away.  I am so grateful Bruce chose me to be by his side through eternity.. I would be absolutely lost without him!  Happy Birthday hunny.. I love you with all my heart!

Cabin

We just got back from a fun weekend up at my parents cabin!  Bruce and I decided we wanted to go one more time before we leave for the summer, and luckily everyone in my family (except Colton) could go!!  I don't remember the last time we were all up there, but it was a lot of fun!  We have lots of mafia, lots of card games, lots of yummy food, and lots of playing outside!  Wish we could go up again before we leave...  Bristyn loves being around all her cousins and tries to run the show!  Such a fun weekend :)

Daddy was home from work today so we decided to have some fun in between our little Princess nap time!!! She loved being outside and playing in the water..   I think this is going to need to start being a fun activity between naps because she had so much fun!  

A Bristyn update

It's been a little while since I have updated the cute things Bristyn does all day..  Seriously what on earth did we do without her for so long???  She brings pure joy to our lives and I am so grateful I am lucky enough to be her mommy!  Every day she does something new, and melts my heart with her hugs and kisses.. I am so grateful she is such a mommy's girl.. I love it!!  Luckily she will go to anyone.. but mommy is her favorite :)  Don't get me wrong.. she adores her daddy and they play constantly. It is so cute to see them together.  I am so grateful for my little family..

Some things she is doing:

-she likes to growl at us.

- still take 2- 2 hour naps a day!!!

-she does my brother Chad's famous doink doink!

-loves to make huge messes while eating.. Especially playing with her hair when her hands are all messy!!!

-being outside is her favorite thing!

-she is a show off!  She loves getting urges, swirling her hand sin the air, screaming.. anything to get  your attention.

-loves drinking water out of her sippy.  Thankfully we are done with bottles, because she drinks milk and water out of her sippy so well!

-gets super excited over funny things!  Like the other day we put a sippy cup full of water in her bed and at 6am we heard her wake up and she started laughing, then grunting in excitment.. then drank all the water in her sippy and went back to bed!  

-still eats so good! I am seriously so lucky.

-Loves watching Barbie movies in the car..  they are the only movies she will watch and we have tried lots!

Rhett and Bristyn

These two cute little cousins are so close.  They have the cutest love/hate relationship.. One minute they will be holding hands, hugging, and kissing each other... and the next they will be screaming at each other, pulling hair, hitting, and fighting over toys!  They make us all laugh.  Its a good thing there is more love then hate!!!  They play so good together and get so excited when they see each other.  I am just so grateful Bristyn has some cousin's that are so close in age!  It is going to be hard going away this summer because Bristyn is sure going to miss Rhett.

We stopped by Bruce's parents house and Brecken took Bris in the other room.. When they came out this is what we saw!!!  We all started laughing.. She was trying so hard to get the balls out of her shirt, then once we got them out for her she was trying to put them back in.  I am pretty sure Bristyn has us laughing all day long!

On another note, Bristyn turned 13 months today!!! Woohoo :)

5th Anniversary!

Today we celebrated our 5th Anniversary!!! 

5 years ago today I was driving to the Temple to be sealed to the love of my life.  My dad was driving, and I was sitting in the back seat as calm as can be.  My dad was absolutely shocked and said ummm, Chanteal shouldn't you be nervous or something?  I smiled at him and said Nope! I know this is what I am suppose to be doing and I have never been so excited!  I arrived at the Temple to see Bruce waiting for me, with tears running down his face telling me how happy he was (he always gets teary eyed with spiritual things)..  We then walked up the steps and entered the holy house only to realize we both forgot our recommends.. We were semi freaking out, but laughing at the same time.. Luckily we got everything taken care of and we were able to start our lives together :)  It was an experience I hold so near and dear to my heart, and a moment I will never forget.  

 Bruce and I were talking about how it is so crazy that we have been married for 5 years..  In one breath I feel like it has been such a short time, but then when I sit down and think about it, I can't remember what my life was like without him in it.  I am so grateful to have such an amazing, honorable, humble, loving husband..  He provides a good living for our little family, and loves us unconditionally.  I fall more in love with him daily, and the thought of not having him in my life terrifies me.  I am so grateful that 5 years ago today he took me to the Temple, and now we are lucky enough to have the most beautiful little girl in the world!  We have made so many fun memories in the last 5 years and I can only imagine what the future has in store for us!!!

We had such a fun day... we hung out with Bristyn until about 3, and then we had some 1 on 1 time.. We went to dinner, and looked at model homes for fun, and we loved every minute of it! Thank you hunny for sharing the last 5 years with me.. You were the best decision I ever made, and the greatest blessing I have ever received!  I love you :) 

Trials...

I read this and it was exactly what I needed today.  It hit so close to home I had to post it...  It brought tears to my eyes...  Yet again we are dealing with the lovely challenge of infertility, and I am reminded daily just how lucky we are to be parents.  To be able to hold our sweet baby girl in our arms, and to be able to thank Heavenly Father for her daily.
