Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is my favorite Holiday! I love Christmas and the meaning of Christmas, but there is so much stress around Christmas time (at least for me). If I didn't have to worry about shopping and finding the perfect gift for everyone, It would be the best... Thanksgiving is just perfect! You are surrounded by the people you love, and you get to eat lots of yummy food. I have so much to be thankful for this year, it's hard to know where to start (this might be a long post sorry). I am so thankful for MY FAMILY- I have a husband, that is just amazing. He knows just what to say to put a smile on my face. He is the most honest, humble, and kind person I have ever met. I seriously feel honored just to know him, let alone to be his wife. He is my constant support system, and my best friend. I would honestly be lost without him. I am so grateful that we had the opportunity to be sealed in the temple, and to have an eternal family. I love you baby! Our parents... Bruce and I both have such amazing parents. They are always there for us when we need them and are such special parts of our lives. I am so grateful to be apart of my family and to grow up with the parents I did. I couldn't have asked for better parents. I lucked out even more when I married into such an amazing family. My in-laws are the best! Our Siblings... I love all my brothers so much. If I ever need anything, I know I can call any of them and they will be there as soon as they can (some might take longer than others!) My sister-in-laws are just as great! I never thought I would become so close with them. I love both of them so much and I am so grateful they put up with my brothers. Bruce's siblings are just as great. I seriously look forward to the times we all get together. I am so grateful for the opportunity I have had to work with Brookie, and the friendship we share. Dalan is great too! Next, I am grateful for OUR JOBS- With the economy the way it is, it's scary to know what the future brings. Bruce and I were talking a couple days ago how grateful we are that the economy hasn't affected us yet, because we know there are so many people out there that are having such a hard time with it. I am so grateful we both of jobs, so we can pay the bills and even get all the little things we don't necessarily need. THE GOSPEL- Words can not explain how grateful I am to have the gospel in my life. I am so grateful for the standards it taught me growing up, and for the opportunity I have to go to church every Sunday, so I have a place to really feel the spirit. I am grateful we have the opportunity to teach the 10 year olds. It is amazing to me how much they know, and I love seeing their faces when they hear a story from the scriptures for the first time. OUR HOME, FOOD & ALL THE OTHER THINGS WE HAVE IN THIS LIFE- I am so grateful for the home we live in, and that we actually have a roof over our head. I am thankful for the food we have, and I am grateful the Prophets have taught us to get food storage so we will have food during hard times. I am thankful that I am able to decorate a home & have it the way I want it. I am thankful for water & electricity and all the things you really don't think about until you don't have them! Last but not least, I am so grateful for my HEAVENLY FATHER & JESUS CHRIST- Just thinking about all they have done for me brings tears to my eyes. I am so thankful for the sacrifices they made, so that we can live with them again. I cannot wait for the day that I will be able to see my Savior again. I can't wait to thank him for all he has done for me. I am so grateful that I can get down on my knees and pray to him, and know he is listening. I am so grateful for the Holy Ghost. Through high school, I had some pretty hard times, and I depended on Heavenly Father so much. He was always there for me, and he always comforted me. I know without a doubt he would never put us in a situation we could not handle, and I am so grateful he knows each and every one of us so well.
---
I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving, and I hope you really take the time to think about all that you are thankful for!

Canning

This morning I woke up, and had to be at my mom's be 9am to start canning. We have been wanting to can chicken for a really long time and we finally decided to do it! My mom's dear friend Fran helped us out and let us come use her house. We had alot of fun and got so much done... we had 40 lbs. of chicken to can! We started out at Fran's and had 4 pressure cookers going at one time. The first round went well, but by the time we were ready for round 2 the propane on one of the burners was out, so my mom and I brought 2 pressure cookers home to finish it at my mom's house. What a long day! Each time you have put the cans in the pressure cooker, it takes about 2 hours. We ended up doing about 3 different batches. Needless to say, I was canning from 9am until 5pm, and when I left my mom was still going! We got alot of chicken canned though and I am so excited to add to our food storage. We want to do beef next! This is just a few of the jars...

My Husband.

I just wanted to take a minute and express my love and appreciation for my husband. He does so much for me, and is ALWAYS willing to help out. I seriously feel like the luckiest girl in the world, and I am eternally grateful that I have the opportunity to be sealed to him for Time and all Eternity. Pumpkin Carving

On Sunday my parents had us all over to carve pumpkins! It was a lot of fun. If anyone knows Bruce well, they know he is OBSESSED with Ford. Well, guess what our pumpkin was this year...Ford! Bruce wanted a Ford pumpkin, so that is what he got. It took us awhile to try to get it to look like the Ford logo, and it isn't something I would choose...but it works!
