August was a hard month for me.. Bruce was gone a lot with work and being in a new place with no one I know, no break from the kids.. It was hard. Brinkley started crawling, and pulled herself up to stand. While we were at the gym one day I got a phone call and the child care told me that Bo was running and fell into the shoe cubby and I needed to hurry down there. I ran down there not knowing what to expect and was not ready for what I saw.. His forhead was completely split open and deep and he was bawling.. I had to stop myself from freaking out and grabbed him and held him as everyone assessed the situation. Bruce was an hour and a half away so I had to take all 4 kids down to urgent care so Bo could get stitches. Thankfully I found the best place and they were so good to us. They had a nurse take Bristyn and Brody into another room to watch a movie. Bo was a champ! I was seriously so proud of him. The kid got 7 stitches in his forehead and didn't even cry. It was such a hard day.. After all the hard times I went through emotionally in August, and one thing that got me through it was my little family. They are all that matters to me, and I am so grateful to be a mom to those 4 amazing kids and a wife to my sweet husband. I am so grateful we get to go on this journey together and I have faith and hope that things will get better. This too shall pass.
Bristyn started 1st grade!!!!!! After lots of prayers and spiritual experiences we decided where we wanted to live. After calling millions of apartments I kept having a feeling I needed to come to back to this specific apartment. That we needed to be in this specific ward. So we finally got the apartment and a week before school started I enrolled Bristyn at Reed Elementary. Until we moved into our new apartment on September 11th we had to drive Bristyn 30 minutes from Georgetown to Cedar Park. It was a long couple weeks, but it worked out! She was nervous, but excited!! We sat down and had a family home evening the Sunday before school starts and set some goals and then decided on a family motto.. We can do hard things.. It just fits. I am so grateful for my little family!!!
