I was so nervous to drive across the country (28 hours) with an almost 19 month old, and me being 6 1/2 months pregnant.. But it wasn't bad at all and we ended up having a lot of fun. Bristyn was an ABSOLUTE ANGEL the entire drive. Honestly she only cried once and it was the second day in.. we had been driving all day and she was exhausted and couldn't sleep... so we decided to pull over and stay the night and finish our journey the next day. The first night we stayed in Springfield, MO.. we got there at about midnight and woke up bright and early to continue our journey.. The second night we stopped at Albuquerque, NM... We got in around 11, and left about 8 in the morning and arrived in Arizona at 2:30 Sunday afternoon. Bristyn slept in her own big girl bed for the first time at the hotels and slept like a champ.. We actually had to wake her up Sunday morning so we could leave haha. None of us really slept during the drive, Bristyn took 1 45 minute nap all 3 days and she still traveled like a champ.. Between toys, books, and Barbie movies we were set. It was so cute we stopped at a gas station in Illinois somewhere and she found this little purse with a doggy in it.. She was determined to get it, and so her daddy was sweet and bought it for her and she has not let it out of her sight since. I am so grateful Bristyn and I were able to drive home with Bruce.. It was a lot of fun family memories I will never forget!
