mohawk!

Bruce would be mad at me if he knew I posted this, but I have to document it cause it was pretty funny!  He was getting ready for a hunt and asked me to shave his head for him.. and we left a little mohawk for 5 minutes just so we could take a picture and send it to our moms to freak them out.  After the picture we shaved it off, but they didn't know and they both thought we were crazy.  haha I think he looks hot anyway!

Cookie decorating

We decided to decorate some cookies for a little Halloween activity and had soooo much fun!  Bruce and I couldn't stop laughing at Bristyn as she tried decorating the cookies.  I think she enjoyed eating the cookies, frosting, and sprinkles more then she liked decorating them.. We defiantly had a huge mess to clean up after!  I am so excited for all the holidays this year because she actually understands what is going on!  

Dewitt family farms!

We had a groupon for Dewitt family farms so we talked my parents into coming with us on Saturday, and they brought a couple of my nephews and niece.  It was a lot of fun and Bristyn had a blast!!!  She even got to ride a horse or "hoyse."  Surprisingly she was a little afraid to get on the horse, so we got a smaller pony and she loved it!! She is a little obsessed with horses and the second she sees them she says hoyce hoyce hoyce over and over again.  It's pretty adorable :)  We went on a hayride and she was able to pick a pumpkin out with her cousins..  she seriously had so much fun :)

33 Weeks

Wow, how time flies... I am not 33 weeks pregnant!!  Its so crazy to think that anywhere from 5-7 weeks I will hold my little boy in my arms..  I can't wait, but at the same time its a little crazy!  We thought our world changed when we had Bristyn, now its about to change all over again.. but it an extremely good way!!!

I am for sure past the loving pregnancy stage haha.. I am so uncomfortable and just cannot wait for this little guy to get out!!  I am so grateful to be pregnant.. but I just want to meet him already!!  I don't remember being this uncomfortable with Bristyn, but I am sure Heavenly Father just makes us forget so we will want to get pregnant again! haha..  At my last appointment our Dr. predicted that he will be about 8-9 pounds.  Bruce likes to freak me out and say he will be a 12 pounder!  haha..

I just seriously can't wait to meet him..

stop time.

Sometimes I wish I could just stop time.. Bristyn is growing up so fast, and although it is so much fun.. it makes me so sad!  In about a week and a half she will be 21 months.. My little baby is going to be 2 in 3 months and that is so hard for me to believe.  I feel like just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital.. and now we are about to welcome another little one into our lives.  They always says time flies once you have kids, and it is so true.. and so unfair.  I wish she could stay small forever.. stay innocent forever.  I am just so grateful I am able to be this sweet little girls mom.. I am so grateful I get to watch her grow up.  I just love her so much!!!!!!!!!

I had to take a picture of this and document it because it made me smile..  I went to go get some gold fish and when I opened it I had quite the surprise!  Bristyn stuffed the box with toys!!!!  If you know Bristyn you know she is obsessed with putting things inside of things and taking it out.  If we can't find our phones or her water.. well pretty much anything.. we know to check all her purses and toys with compartments.

I'm 25!

My birhtday was on the 11th, and it was amazing this year.. Bruce seriously went above and beyond to make it extra special!  We started the morning by Bristyn letting us sleep in, I woke up to the family room all decorated and Bristyn and I got Happy Birthday barbie crowns.. I opened my present from Bristyn, which was some candy and a gift card to Deseret Book, then Bruce took me to breakfast at my favorite Sassy's Cafe!  I am pretty sure it was heavenly.  After that we stopped by my in laws, and then we headed home so Bristyn could take a nap.  We were going to go to the zoo, but it started getting really windy and sprinkling so Bruce took me out to my favorite store in Glendale and had me pick a bunch of different jewelry, and then he narrowed it down to a bracelet and a necklace that I love so much!!  After drooling over everything in the store, we headed over to my parents so they could watch Bristyn while we went out on a little date.  We went to some model homes (our favorite thing to do) and then went to my favorite Carrabbas for dinner!  After dinner we headed back to my parents, watched the debate and then family came over so we could have cake and ice cream!  I honestly don't think the day could have been any better.  It was amazing!!  I am just so grateful for a sweet husband and daughter, and then all our extended family who made the day so special!  

Finally.

My poor husband has been having some medical issues for about 6 months now and we finally figured out what is wrong!!  All summer Bruce was super sick.. He had a bad pain in his stomach, had no energy, and all around just felt really crummy.. I was getting really worried about him so I mad him go see a Dr. The stupid guy didn't run any tests and told him he just had "gas pains" and that was it.  So a couple months later and no improvement I made Bruce go see another Dr. who pretty much told him the same thing without running any tests.  Extremely frustrated I booked a Dr. appointment with our Dr. here 2 days after he got home.  Our Dr. drew some blood and sent him to a specialist so Bruce could get a full body workup.  The day we met with the specialist our Dr. called to tell him he tested positive for H. Pylori.  

Here is the definition for H. Pylori--

 Helicobacter pylori previously named Campylobacter pyloridis, is a Gram-negative, micro aerophilic bacterium found in the stomach. It was identified in 1983 by Barry Marshall and Robin Warren, who found that it was present in patients with chronic gastritis and gastric ulcers, conditions that were not previously believed to have a microbial cause. It is also linked to the development of duodenal ulcers and stomach cancer. However, over 80 percent of individuals infected with the bacterium are asymptomatic and it has been postulated that it may play an important role in the natural stomach ecology.^[1]  More than 50% of the world's population harbor H. pylori in their upper gastrointestinal tract. Infection is more prevalent in developing countries, and incidence is decreasing in Western countries. H. pylori's helix shape (from which the generic name is derived) is thought to have evolved to penetrate the mucoid lining of the stomach

The only problem is by just having a blood test, they didn't know if he had it right now, or if he has just had it in his lifetime.  So Tuesday the 9th he had a colonoscopy and everything came back really good... Then Friday the 12th he had an endoscopy (which goes down the throat) and they found all kinds of problems. He had a very severe case of H. Pylori, a very severe case of gastritis, and tiny little ulcers all over his stomach.  Pretty much the Dr. told me his stomach has been a battle ground.  He said there is no way he has had this for just a couple months, it has been building for at least 2 years but he thinks more (I think since his mission) He told me if we would have waited 3 more months his stomach would have been packed with full blown ulcers and they would have had to do surgery and if we would have waited a year he probably would have gotten stomach cancer.  So now my poor husband is on heavy medication to hopefully kill the horrible bacteria.  The Dr. said in about 1-2 weeks he should be feeling alot better, and that he has had this for so long he doesn't even know what it feels like to be 100%.  

As a wife I have felt so helpless.  It has killed me to see him suffer, and I am just so grateful to finally figure out what is wrong with him.. and hopefully get it fixed.  Seeing him lay it that hospital bed really freaked me out.  He was so worried and nervous, and I was trying my hardest to put on a brave face so he wouldn't worry more, but deep down all I wanted to do was cry.  I never want to see him like that again.  I am just so grateful that Heavenly Father has been watching over him for so long.  This could have been horrible and maybe even terminal and I am just so grateful we caught it when we did.. I love my sweet husband with all my heart, and would honestly be lost without him.  

This little cutie is getting so big.  She doesn't even look her age!  She is just so much fun, and makes us smile countless times a day.  The other day after kissing my belly she climbed up on the couch (I was laying down) and decided to jump on my belly while laughing and said haha Bo! haha.. She is so excited for her baby brother to get here, and I can't wait either.  She is going to be the best big sister ever :)

20 months!

Its hard to believe that our little girl is already 20 months!!!  She is so full of personality and the sweetest thing around, we seriously cannot get enough of her!  Every other day she is either a daddy's girl or a mommy's girl, and we like to rub it in each others face when its our special day!  She is just so special to us.. Seriously what did we do without her?  I wish she would stop growing so fast.  I feel like every day she is doing something new or saying some new word.  Since I am pregnant I have been so tired I feel like I haven't been able to enjoy her as much as I did before, and it makes me sad!  I can't wait until I can give her all my energy again!  She probably thinks I'm a pretty boring mom!!  

At 20 months she..

-is OBSESSED with Barbie and anything Barbie.  All her dolls are barbies.

-Her favorite movie is tangled, but only because she thinks Rapunzel is Barbie haha

-She talks all day long, and can repeat almost any word.. or she attempts to.

-She loves to snack, and has gotten better at eating her meals.. thank heavens!

-She cannot go to sleep without her water.  She will cry for it if we forget to give it to her.

-She is Binkie free!!  It has been so nice.

-Loves being outside...It's probably her favorite

-Has gotten very good at sticking her hand out in the stop position and saying NO! to any and all kids that look at her and she doesn't know.

- She is getting a lot more coordinated.

-Anytime someone "toots" she laughs and yells poop! haha

-likes to yell at Auggie, and calls him yaggie! 

-loves horses.. Anytime we are at my parents she asks anyone and everyone to take her to see the horse like 100 times.. She also says Horse so good!

Conference!

We sure loved conference this weekend!  It is always so refreshing to have the chance to listen to our beloved Prophet and his Apostles.  We were able to watch all 4 sessions, and we walked away refreshed and with a greater love for our gospel!  During the 4th session Bruce was a little tired so he was going to try to take a nap, and Bristyn refused to let that happen!!  Once he finally did fall asleep he woke up to her picking at his eyelashes.  Haha she is hilarious!

first big owie

Our poor angel got her first big owie last night and I am pretty sure it breaks my heart. 

Bruce and I ran to dinner real quick and my parents were babysitting.. She was sitting next to my brother Justin and was playing on the picnic table, then fell off.  When we pulled up my parents walked to us with her and told us there was an accident.. I started crying as soon as I saw her.. My poor mom was so scared that I was going to be mad at her.  Accidents happened, and it probably would have happened if Bruce and I were there. Bristyn is a very busy little girl, and kids are going to get hurt..it doesn't make it any easier to see my little girl in pain though!  They said she was a trooper and only cried for a minute, she is such a tough little girl.  I am just so grateful it wasn't worse!

30 weeks and my baby shower!

Well today I am 30 weeks pregnant.. I can't believe I have only 8-10 weeks left before I get to hold our sweet Bo.  I can't wait to meet him.. everyday my love for him grows more and more... and it amazes me that Heavenly Father opens our heart up to love so many people so much.  To think we will love him as much as Bristyn is amazing, and then you get to thinking that Heavenly Father loves all his children even more.. It's pretty awesome!  

This pregnancy is so different then my pregnancy with Bristyn.  I am already SOOOOOOOOO uncomfortable.  It is pretty hard to bend over, haha.  I can just feel how big he is inside me it's crazy.. Last time I had an ultrasound he was measuring 2 weeks early.. hopefully he comes early, I don't know how I feel about a 10 lb. baby.  haha Bruce keeps teasing me that he will be a 12 pounder.. I think I would cry! haha  Luckily I am still not as swollen, I have swelled a little bit.. but not nearly as much as with Bristyn.  and I am still feeling lots of contractions.. Luckily only a couple have been painful, hopefully it stays that way!  

My mom, Katrina, and Jessica threw me a baby shower and it turned out adorable and so much fun!!! I am so grateful for all the hard work they put into it, and I love them all so much!  We had some yummy food, fun games, and awesome people there!  I am just so grateful for everyone's support.
