Happy Birthday!

Well on Monday October 8th it was my father-in-laws birthday! He is such an awesome guy, and we love spending time with him. I picked this cake because he loves to hunt (that's where my husband gets it.) In November, Bruce and his dad are going on a deer hunt in Colorado and that is all they talk about.

Thankful Sunday

Well one of my friends does this every Sunday and I think it is the best idea to list a couple things I am thankful for. So here goes...

1. I am so thankful for this CONFERENCE WEEKEND! I just love watching Conference and feeling the spirit so strongly in our home. It is our first time to watch Conference together has Husband and Wife and I just loved it!!!

2. I am very grateful for our FAMILIES. Both of us are so blessed to have such amazing families that support us in everything we do. I feel so blessed to have married into such an awesome family, and I am so grateful that they have accepted me like they have. I also feel so blessed to have my family and love the time I get to share with them.

3. I am so grateful to be MARRIED! I know I say this a lot, but I have such an awesome husband. He is so good to me and I feel so blessed to have him in my life. He brings so much joy into my life, and always keeps me laughing!

Halloween Craft!

So my mother-in-law was going through a magazine of hers and came across the cutest Halloween banner and so we decided to make one for ourselves! She went for more of a vintage look, and mine is more halloween-ie (if that is even a word) ha ha. It was really fun! Its just a banner that says boo. So here are some pictures of mine!

Home!!!

Well Bruce went hunting last night and is finally home! (haha I know it has only been one day, but I missed him so much!) I didn't get to see him much yesterday because I had to go to work and then to my cousin's wedding so he picked me up and dropped me off at my parents then drove up to Heber to hunt with Ron Compton. When he got home today I was so excited to see him! He really is such an amazing husband. I am the luckiest girl in the world!

Obstacle Course

Okay so while Bruce was out of town hunting last Friday I spent the night at my moms (since my dad was hunting as well.) Then my sister-in-law Katrina came over (because my brother was also hunting...haha we married men that love to hunt!) Well Katrina has two of the cutest little boys in the world (Dakota & Gunnar). We went out to dinner, went shopping a little bit and then went back to my parents house. Well while my mom, Katrina and I were hanging out the boys got bored so they started making an obstacle course out of my mom's kitchen table. It was the funniest thing! Gunner (the blonde one) is the one that started it. He is such a little monster! Well he started crawling under the chairs and Dakota noticed and decided he wanted to follow in his little brothers foot steps... It was so funny because I started taking pictures and they noticed so they would go under all the chairs then run up to me and grab the camera so they could see their picture, then run back and start it all over again! Little kids just make life so much better. I can't wait until Bruce and I have the opportunity to have our own! But until then, we have our nephews! Bruce, my brother & my dad will be going hunting again this weekend so I can only imagine the entertainment I will have. I sure miss Bruce so much while he is gone though!

Blonde Again!!!

Okay so I hate pictures of myself, but I am so excited that I FINALLY have blonde hair! I feel like myself again!!! And Bruce love it, usually when I get my hair done he is just like oh it looks nice…but when he saw me he just kept saying I love your hair, I love your bangs (I cut some longer bangs) it makes me laugh! It is a much better response from when I went brown. When I had to color my hair brown while we were living in Boston he was just like well it looks good, but I will have to get use to it! Haha He like my hair blonde because that is how it was when we met, so I guess I will just have to keep my hair blonde! Lizzy did such an awesome job, thanks Lizzy your awesome!!!

Oh yeah and these pictures are so awkward because I had to use to the self timer on my camera! Haha Bruce is out of town hunting and I didn't have anyone to take a picture, so I had to resort to myself. haha

New Job

Well after being home for two weeks I finally got a job...or I guess I should say Bruce got me a job! I will be working at Red Mountain Endodontics! They specialize in Root Canals. I will be assisting Doctor Hamberlin. I am really excited because I will be working with one of my good friends from back in the day, and then another friend I had in high school works there for another doctor. It should be really fun!

What's going on with us...

Well I feel like now that we are home there aren't that many interesting things to talk about. haha. We are just enjoying being home. We had our 6 month Anniversary yesterday (I know we are nerds to celebrate it) and Bruce brought me home the most beautiful red roses! Its crazy to think it has already been six months since we got married.... We have most of our apartment decorated (I posted some pictures) and yesterday we finally got the Internet in our apartment so I think I will start doing better blogging.... (I would have to drive to my parents house to blog) oh and my friend Lizzy Rigby did an awesome job on my hair! I love it...I finally got some blonde back, and I feel like myself again... Bruce has been helping his dad at Furniture Plus and getting ready for all his crazy hunts that are coming up the end of October and November. It has been a fun couple weeks since we have been home but they have also been very busy! We will definitely keep you guys posted on everything that is going on with us.

August 28, 2007

1. Where did I meet my husband? On some street in Mesa, and then we drove to my friend Jen's house.

2. What was the first thing you said to your husband? Hello? haha isn't that always the first thing you say to people...

3. Where was your first date? Well we just hung out alot, so we don't really remember, but we think it was the drive-in's!

4. Where was your first kiss? Upstairs at Brian Miners house

5. Did you have a long or short engagement? LONG! But it was so good for us. We were engaged 7 months.

6. Where did you get engaged? At the temple. On the same bench that his dad proposed to his mom. He had my ring around a puppy's neck on a bow!!!

7. Where were you married? The Mesa, Arizona Temple. It was such an awesome experience! Then our Reception was at Villa Siena.

8. How did the reception go? Wonderful! We had the best decorations, amazing food, and lots of people! My parents told me that people are still talking about how amazing our Reception was. It was seriously an INCREDIBLE dream Reception. No joke.

9. How was the Honeymoon? It was fun. We went to my cabin so we could save some money. Our tire popped so we had to ride into Flagstaff on my parents Ranger (it's like a quad) it was so funny!

We're Home!!!

Well we are home at last! It was a long trip, but we had alot of fun... We were able to stop at the Joseph Smith Memorial in Vermont, Palmyra, Kirtland, Nauvoo, and Carthage. It was such an awesome trip, and we really were able to feel the spirit. We wish we could have spent a little more time at each site but we still got to see them and enjoy them. I think our favorite was either Nauvoo (the temple is amazing) or Carthage. They were both so cool. I am so grateful we had a chance to go on a trip that alot of people have not been able to make and we feel so blessed because of it. I will be able to post pictures of everything later....but for now I will post the welcome sign of each state we went through (I had a little too much fun with the camera!)

Change of Plans!!!

Well there has been a sudden change of plans. Bruce and I are now leaving Tuesday the 21st. We decided we just wanted to get home, Bruce has gotten really burnt out, and since our end date was August 1st we have nothing holding us back. We are so excited!!! We have our trip planned out and know exactly what we are doing so here is our itinerary! haha... DAY 1 we will leave Boston and drive to Vermont. Once we are in Vermont there are a couple towns we want to stop and see...they are Barre & Sharon. Bruce's dad served his mission up there so Bruce wants to see it, and there are some church sites up there we want to see also. So from there we will drive to Palmyra, New York and spend the night. DAY 2 we will wake up, go through the Sacred Grove again and then head to Niagara Falls which is only 2 hours away and spend the day there. We will spend the night in Niagara Falls and on DAY 3 we will wake up and drive all the way to Nauvoo, Illinois. (this is a 13 hour drive...yikes!) We will spend the night in Nauvoo. DAY 4 We will wake up and go to all the sites in Nauvoo then drive a couple hours to Gallatin, Missouri (where Adam-Ondi-Ahman is) this is what I am the most excited about. I had a fireside when I was growing up on Adam-Ondi-Ahman and ever since then I have wanted to go there and have been so intrigued with it. From there we will drive to Independence, Missouri and spend the night. DAY 5 we will wake up go to the visitor center and Liberty Jail then drive to Branson, Missouri to spend some time with Bruce's Granny & Aunts. Then Day 6 we will leave Branson and try to drive all the way to Mesa, Arizona which is a 19 hour drive so we will see if we can do that all in one day. It will be such a fun road trip!!!

Here is a list of the states we will be driving through...
Massachusetts
New Hampshire
Vermont
New York
Pennsylvania
Ohio
Indiana
Illinois
Missouri
Oklahoma
Texas
New Mexico
and finally...ARIZONA!!!

Home Sweet Home

Well after a long talk Bruce and I decided last night we are leaving to come home in TWO weeks!!!! You have no idea how happy this make me. He told Brad this morning that our last day will be Wednesday, August 29th! We are going to have such an awesome drive home, On our drive out here we gained so many memories we will never forget... So we cannot wait to create some new ones. We are going to stay a day or two and tour Boston right before we come home then our drive home will be something like this.... I have always had a fascination with Maine, I don't know why but I have, and Bruce wants to see it too because all the people here talk about how awesome it is. So we are going to drive up to Maine (it's like 2 hours away) and stay the night in Portland, Maine. Then the next day we are going to drive through New Hampshire and Vermont (his dad served his mission in Vermont so Bruce really wants to go there) and while we are there we are going to stop at a couple of the church sites. Then we are going to try to drive all the way to Niagara Falls and stay the night there because we want to get up and site see, and shop. So from there we will go back to Palmyra because when we came through there were no leaves, and we want to see the Sacred Grove when it is really pretty and try to go through a session at the Palmyra Temple. We aren't sure if we are going to stop at Kirtland again (we did on the way out here) but we are going to drive to Missouri and stay with Bruce's sweet Granny and Aunt Lori. While we are in Missouri we want to do all those church sites, which I am so excited about! It will be such a cool experience to see all those places we hear about! Then from Missouri we will try to drive straight through to Arizona but we will probably stay the night somewhere on the way. I am just so excited for the drive home. We had a blast on the way out here, and now that we have more time and money (and no dog to worry about) I think we will have a lot more fun. I am so ready to start an every day life of a normal married couple where you get to see each other more than we do now, and I can hardly wait to decorate my own place! I have a feeling this next chapter in our life will be just as good if not a better experience for us to learn and grow together.

My Husband

I found this on some one's blog and thought it would be fun to dedicate a post to my husband. Words can't describe how awesome he is and how much I love him. He is funny, smart, respectful, and loving. I know everyone says this, but he is seriously the best husband in the world! I am so grateful to have him in my life and for all he does for me. I am also so grateful for his strong testimony and the spirit he brings into our marriage and my life. He makes me want to be a better person. I have never been this happy in my entire life! I owe everything to him.
