WE PICKED A NAME!!!!!

Ladies and gentleman... our baby officially has a name!!!!!!!!

BRIX BROOKS!!!

My brother in law Benson actually thought of the name..  I was over there yesterday talking to him and my mother in law and telling them we just can't decide on a name.. and Benson said you should name him Brix.. I instantly loved it and said watch I will text Bruce and he will hate it.  Sure enough I text Bruce and to my surprise he said he actually liked it alot.. And thats when I knew it was the name!  It just felt right.

We are still working on the middle name, but hey I am just happy that I can finally call him something besides baby.  His middle name will be a family name, and we have a few in mind we just aren't sure what we want to use.  I am also so excited that our boys are going to be so close in age.  I am sure it will be hard, but it will be fun too!

And to hear Bristyn talk about her baby Brix just kills me!  Yesterday we were driving in the car and she goes mom, Baby Brix is just so cute and he is in Heaven with Jesus and when I get him I'm gonna hug him and kiss him and be really really careful with him.  I'll be careful with Jesus too mom.  Haha that girl is too cute!!

Countdown has officially begun, come meet us baby Brix!!!!

Frozen

Bristyn is obsessed with the new Disney movie Frozen..  I found a website that we could watch it online (which was exciting because it is still in the theater) and she was glued to it!! It was such a fun little date night with her, and I was happy to have the one on one time with her :)

Gunnar was baptized!

Gunnar got baptized this morning, so we went over to Justin and Katrina's house for some yummy breakfast after and the kids had a blast playing in their backyard.  We need a backyard they can play in soooo bad!!!!!  

I am so proud of Gun Bun and the choice he made to get baptized and receive the Holy Ghost.  I couldn't help but shed tears of joy as I watched my brother Justin baptize him, and then watch him emerge from the water so clean and pure.  I cannot wait until my kids are able to make that choice!!!

27 Weeks

Well I am 27 weeks!!! Woohoo.. Only like 13 weeks left... Hopefully less :)

I can't believe how fast this pregnancy has flown by.. I just can't wait to meet our unnamed little boy!  It is driving me crazy we don't have a name yet..  With both Bristyn and Bo we knew right away what we were going to name them, with this baby I just have no idea.. nothing seems right.. We have gone through all types of options and although I like them alot.. none of them feel like "the name"

some of the names I like:  Brody, Brydin, Brayson, Braxton, Canon, Wyatt, Tate, Talan.

Some of the names Bruce likes: Baer, Barrett, Brock, Waylon, Briggs

But when it comes down to it, it will probably be Brody, Baer, Briggs, or Brock.  None just feel right.. 

Hmmm here is to hoping the right name will pop up :)

sickies

Well Bruce has been gone for a total of 2 days, so why don't we just do what we do best and get sick while he is gone :) haha!  I swear everytime he leaves for a work trip the kids get sick.  Its lovely.  I am just done with this cold and flu season!  We have had croup, phnemonia, stomach flu, all types of other flus.. and I am just read for healthy kids again!  I think I have been to church about 3 times since Thanksgiving.  Its lovely :)  This time they just have a bad cough and runny nose.. and Bo has been tugging on his ear so I wanted to get it checked out.. Luckily no ear infection, just a cold!  Thank heavens :)

hide and seek

 Daddy left yesterday so how about we get sick and have to stay home from church.. again!  haha at least we had fun playing hide and go seek, watching movies, and napping!

work work work

Well my Bruce left early this morning.. He is flying to Colorado to start a new adventure..

The past couple months him and a few guys have been working on starting their own insulation company and they are officially starting it Monday.  We are so nervous and excited for this new adventure and just pray it works out..  He loved when he was selling insulation before, and the rebates are even better now.. so hopefully things will work out :)

He will be out there for a couple weeks and then hopefully the kids and I will be able to join him.  Then we will be back again the beginning of February and he will go on quick trips.. take April off and then We will head out for the summer in May!  I am really excited for this new adventure :)

New Years Eve

We spent our New Years Eve out at my parents house.  Bruce and I stopped and got stuff to make smores so we built a fire and had some fun!  The kids loved it and had so much fun!  Around 11 we decided to head home since the kids were exhausted and we got them in bed just in time for Bruce and I to start the New Year cuddled on the couch together.  Although 2013 has been an extremly trying year for us.. There are some things I am so grateful for..  

-We were able to watch Bo grow from a newborn baby to a 1 year old.

-Bristyn and her adorable personality

-We had a very unexpected surprise and found out we were expecting another baby boy!

-and because of our trials this year, Bruce and I are closer than ever.  

I am so grateful for my little family.. and for the man I married.  There is not another man on this earth that is better for me than him.  He can deal with my bad days better than anyone I could ever imagine... and I am just so grateful I found him and he chose me to be his wife.  2 years of dating, almost 7 years of marriage and almost 3 kids later I can honestly say I love him more today then I ever thought possible.  I am so grateful 2013 is over, cause lets be honest, I don't think I could do it again..  and I am super excited to see what 2014 has in store for us!

Pregnancy

I am sitting here thinking..  Lately I have been miserable! I feel like I'm already 38 weeks pregnant.. And I'm 25 1/2. Haha saying the half makes me feel better :) This pregnancy was going so smooth and the last week has caught up with me and it's been hard.  

Then I sit here and think how wonderfully lucky I am to be pregnant.  This is my third healthy pregnancy, and that is more than I could ever ask for.. I am so lucky.  There are days that I feel sorry for myself because I'm fat, have stretch marks on every inch of my body (yes even my legs) and have hips that could go on for days.. I mean I use to have a body most people would dream of.. But then I look at it in a different way and I realize how lucky I am to have scares all over my body to remind me that the sweet angels that I take care of daily use to be apart of me.  We use to be one. What a wonderful, beautiful blessing.  Nothing is better than feeling that sweet baby move around inside.  To feel so connected.. 

Then I see my kids running around my house... I see resemblances of their amazing daddy, and little bits of me in them and it makes my heart smile.  We created them.  They are half me, half him and they show the undeniable love we share for each other.  

I have been so blessed.  I would take these mountains of scars and extra flab any second of any day.. Just knowing the amazing reward...  I have 2, almost 3 beautiful children that make everything worth it!  I am so grateful to be their mom.  

Well that's enough of my random rambling.. Haha 

Christmas 2013

Christmas this year was simply amazing..  Everything is better with kids, but its even better when they understand what is going on.  I was really scared because Bristyn woke up throwing up on the 23rd.. luckily no one else got it, and we were able to enjoy our Christmas!  Christmas eve we spent the day making cookies for Santa, making reindeer food, watching Christmas movies and just making memories as a family.  Bristyn insisted that Santa needed pumpkin cookies with no frosting this year (I think daddy might have provoked that.  haha) Every year since I was little we have spent Christmas Eve at my grandma Elaines, but they were sick this year so it got postponed and we went to the Brooks house and watched an amazing movie and ate yummy food!  We came home put the kids to bed, set up.. and went to bed ourselves!  We woke up bright and early Christmas morning because we had to be at my moms at 8am.  We woke the kids up and Bristyn could not wait to see what Santa brought her.  We checked the milk and cookies and ran to the tree!  She got her long awaited Barbie microphone! Thankfully Santa had one..  like 3 months ago she started telling us Santa was going to bring her a Barbie microphone, and she wanted nothing else!  Bo was still tired but had fun with the new toys.. We headed to my parents house.. Watched a short movie on the nativity and then opened presents..  After that we headed to Bruce's parents house and ate our usual breakfast, opened presents and played our usual games.. after that we went to Grandma Sue's to say hi, then headed home to take a quick nap.  We were so spoiled by everyone this year, and we are so grateful for all that our families do for us.  We have sure been blessed!!!  Around 5 we went back to the Brooks house and had dinner, then finished the night with Temple lights.  Honestly the day could not have been more perfect!  I am just so grateful for my little family, and for all the many memories we are able to make together.  I can't believe one more will join us by next Christmas.. It just gets better and better :)
