Christmas Eve

Christmas eve started off a little rocky, but turned out good.  Thursday night Bristyn started throwing up everywhere... we rushed her to the Dr. and she had a double ear infection and the nurse practitioner thought she was throwing up from her ear infections.  Friday she wasn't throwing up, but slept all day and wasn't feeling good.  Friday night Bruce and I started throwing up.. so we knew she wasn't throwing up from her ears, but she had the flu.  After a very long night, Bruce and I were pooped on Christmas Eve and couldn't do anything.. I was so sad, it was the first Christmas Eve I have ever missed at my Grandma Elaine's.  Luckily as the night went on we started feeling better and we woke up Christmas morning feeling great!  (sadly we got all of Bruce's family sick too, it was a terrible 24 hr. flu)  Since we were going to my parents house early in the morning we decided to give Bristyn her gifts on Christmas Eve, since she isn't old enough to understand Christmas anyways..   She had so much fun opening her presents!

Our little cutie pants was in the corner playing with all her toys for like 30 mintues tonight.. It was so cute!  That is so unlike her.. usually she is go go go, and never stops! But she made her way over there and stayed for awhile.  Then her cousin Rhett stopped by to play for a little bit and of course they had so much fun chasing each other around!  

Santa!!!

Bristyn got to see Santa!  We headed down to bass pro with my parents around 12:45 to meet my brother and his kids... When we got there they gave us a pass to come back and see Santa at 3:30 so we had a lot of time to kill!!!  We walked around for awhile, then decided to go have lunch in the restaurant connected to the store.  By that time we were able to go wait in line...  I was semi nervous how Bristyn would act with Santa but she was totally fine... Towards the end she got a little but fussy, but she did awesome..  The picture we got from bass pro turned out so adroable!!!  I love my baby girl!!

My brother Chad made my Christmas card this year and I LOVE how they turned out!!!  

Walking!!

My baby girl is up and totally walking!!!!!  She has been taking steps for what seems like forever, but she is actually walking now.  The only thing that is stopping her is the fact that she can't completely stand up on her own {like in the middle of the room}.. She is almost there, but it is still hard for her.   It amazes me how fast she is growing up and learning new things... I just want her to stay little forever.  

Gingerbread houses - Gunnar's birthday!

On Sunday we had dinner at my parents house so we celebrated Gunnar's 6th Birthday, and then we also did our annual gingerbread houses!!!  It was such a fun night.  Usually Bruce helps me with the gingerbread house but Bristyn needed a babysitter so I was on my own this year.  Thanks mom for making this such a fun tradition!  Dakota, Gunnar, and Kylie COVERED their house in candy... It was hilarious, I really don't think there was a empty space on their house.

Grandma Sue's Christmas FHE!

Every year my Grandma Sue throws the best Family Home Evening around!  I seriously look forward to it, and cherish it every year!  She always has a special story to share with us and she looks for and plans the story all year long... Then she always gives us a little gift and a copy of the story to add to our books, and remind us of the story!  This year it was about a special little angel and it was so cute.  I always love getting together with all my cousins, and it amazes me how big our family has gotten with all the little kiddos!  Poor Bristyn was sick, but she was such a trooper!  Thank you grandma and poppy for yet another amazing night!!! We love you.

Bruce's Texas Hunt!!!

Bruce got a whitetail this morning and I am so happy for him!  Today is their last day of hunting, and he text me this morning at 6:30 saying he got a buck!  I think he is pretty excited :)  Good job babe, I am so proud of you!!!!!!!!!!!

10??? Wow!

Well 10 months have come and gone and our sweet girl is closer to a year.  Bristyn is full of so much energy, and joy... she seriously makes our home a better place.  We love her unconditionally and feel so blessed that she is ours..   Daddy left for his LAST hunting trip of the season last night... so we are just gonna have to have fun with just the girls!  She adores her cousins so we are going to go make sugar cookies with Dakota, Gunnar, and Kylie!

Things she is doing at 10 months!

-says Da-da!
-LOVES balls, and cars... haha we have a tom-boy on our hands!

-walks!!!  She can walk like halfway across a room.

-likes to copy anything you do.

-loves playing with her dog Auggie! and following him around... and annoying him haha!

-loves rough wrestling... we feel like we need to be gentle with her but the rougher you are the more she laughs!

-she still... eats everything she has in her hands or that is on the floor. ugh!

-will get down on her knees, stick her bum in the air, and try to get things from under the couch!

-can get off the couch.. after a few tantrums I finally taught her :)

-loves saying baba (bottle), ball, ma, and dada!

-wears 12 month clothes

-size 4 diapers

-took her first Sacrament last Sunday

-loves snacks and drinking out of a sippy.

-when you carry her around she will pat you. Its adorable

-gives 5! 

-likes to let us know when she is mad!

-Is really good at listening.  If you tell her no, most of the time she will stop what she is doing.

We are so grateful Bristyn is a part of our family! We love her more than words can say...

I haven't posted for a few days... Bruce is home, and I am in heaven!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's amazing that we have been together for almost 7 years and I am still madly in love with him... even more than I was back then.  He makes me smile, and still makes me giddy.  

Can you tell I have been missing him??  Cause I have, and I haven't let him out of my sight since Monday!

We are moving back into his grandpa's house.  We finished painting today, and then we are moving everything tomorrow.. I had my mom babysit Bris so I could help Bruce and I went 5 1/2 hours without seeing my baby and was going crazy..  That is the longest I have gone without her since she was born.  I love that girl to death.  She makes me smile more times than I can count.  Did I mention she says "da-da" now?  Its pretty adorable, and Bruce is in heaven!  She also does this new screaming thing when she gets mad, and I am pretty sure I can't help but laugh every time she does it, and I try to get her to do it more.. I know I am going to regret that soon but it is just so dang cute!  She is also almost completely walking.. She has been taking steps for a few weeks, but she is doing more everyday.  It's crazy!  

Life is amazing.  I have an amazing husband that I am madly in love with, and a beautiful daughter that makes me life better in every single way.
