Christmas with the Brooks

We headed to Bruce's parents at 10:00 on Christmas morning.. We had our usual yummy breakfast and then went in and read the Christmas story in the scriptures.. It is a tradition they have done every year.  After reading the scriptures we opened presents.  After the presents we got to play all the amazing games.. and I am happy to say Bruce and I won them all this year!!!  Every year they wrap a present up (usually money or a giftcard) and we take turns rolling dice and anytime we get 6s or 1s we yell stop and get to go unwrap the present with snow gloves on..  It is seriously so fun, and by the end we are dying laughing and shaking with adrenaline.  After that game we went in and played a new memory game that was alot of fun.. and then we did the usual Brooks Lotto!  I look forward to Christmas at the Brooks every year because it is just so much fun.  The games make it amazing!  I am so grateful I married into such an awesome family!  Brookie and Dalan were up in Idaho this christmas, and it was really sad to have them gone!  Hopefully next year we will all be together.

Christmas morning 2014

Christmas was amazing this year.  We didn't have to be to Bruce's parents until 10, so we were able to enjoy Christmas morning as a family.  Santa brought the kids some fun stuff this year..  New bikes and plasma cars... and then a couple little toys and stuff they needed.  After Bristyn and Bo opened their presents daddy started helping them put some stuff together and then Brody woke up.. he opened his presents and then we went outside and rode the plasma cars.  Santa even left the kids a note this year.  Everything was perfect.  The kids were in heaven, and Bruce and I had so much fun watching the excitement in their eyes.

Christmas Eve

Every year for Christmas Eve we go to Grandma Elaine's, but with all the crazy grandkids now we decided to do it at my parents house.  We ate lots of yummy food, opened presents with Grandma and Poppy, watched a short video on the birth of Christ, got our snow globes, and spent time together as a family!!  After everyone left the we made our traditional reindeer good (oats and sprinkles) and went out and sprinkled it in the front yard so the reindeer would have something to snack on while Santa was in our house.  We set out milk and cookies and the kids headed to bed!
