Santa

We went and saw Santa and Bristyn was so excited.  She could not wait to tell him she wants a Barbie microphone for Christmas.  We only had to wait about 30 minutes.. and she was so excited to sit on Santas lap.. Bo on the other hand screamed and hated it! haha.  

Bo got a haircut!

Well after a year of putting it off, we finally cut Bo's hair!  Bruce wanted to keep it long, but it was starting to look like a mullet and I couldn't take it.  He looks so stinkin cute and grown up.. And its so weird to see a clean neckline. haha!  I just love it :)

Bo is 1!!!!!!

Seriously where has the time gone?  My baby is 1?!?!  

We did his party the day before his birthday because Rocky and Stacey were leaving early in the morning on his birthday and I wanted to be able to enjoy his birthday instead of stressing about party prep.  I had all types of ideas for a "winter ONEderland" party and it was an epic fail.  Between chasing my two kids around and being pregnant I am just proud of myself for making the potato soup (it was suppose to be a melted snowman)  I was going to make all kinds of fun googies, and just settled on the soup and cupcakes.  haha!  Sorry Bo.  He was hilarious with his cupcake..  He wasn't sure about it at first, but then devoured it..and when I walked by him with mine he insisted that it was his, so he got 2 cupcakes! haha.  

A couple days before his birthday he got croup.  It was the first time my little guy has been sick since he was born, and it killed me.. The first night Bruce and I were up all night taking shifts holding him while he slept because he couldn't breathe.  So scary.  So for his birthday he was pretty miserable.. so we laid low and he slept most of the day.  Regardless I am just so grateful for this sweet boy.  

At 1 year:

Weight: 20 lb 6 oz - 50%

Height: 31in - 80%

Head: 18 1/4in - 50%

-he says mom, dada, ut oh, deer, dog, 

-points and grunts at anything he wants haha

-gives high 5's

-walks with his chest sticking out and looks like a rooster, its hilarious

-loves anything but avocados and eggs

-still hasnt had a haircut, but needs one.

-such a daredevil.  Loves balancing on stuff, and tries lifting anything that is heavy.

-copies anything Bristyn does

-loves being thrown in the air and wrestled.

one year ago...

One year ago today we were gearing up to head to the hospital..

With Bo I did not progress at all, and they knew he was going to be a big baby so we decided to get induced a week early.  Thank heavens we did, haha I can only imagine how big he would have been if we would have waited until he decided to come :)

We were told to be at the hospital at 1am on December 6th.. (so it really still felt like the 5th) We dropped our precious baby girl off at my moms, and tried taking a nap on my parents family room floor because I just knew I would be up all night.  I remember being so nervous.. How could I possibly love another baby as much as Bristyn?  Would everything go okay?  Was I ready for 2 kids??  We arrived at the hospital, got checked in and the waiting game began.  They didn't want to put me on pitosin right away because they wanted to induce me slowly so they put a cervix cream on and 9 hours later we were able to start pitosin..  Once I was put on pitosin things progressed super quick like they did with Bristyn.  By 12:50pm I knew I was at a 10 without even being checked and I told the nurse I had to push.. she told me wait 10 minutes just to be sure... That was the longest 10 minutes ever, I finally made Bruce go get her and tell her I couldn't wait any longer.. FINALLY at 1:00 pm she called Dr. Huff and was told he was 20 minutes away... They had me roll on my right side and squeeze my legs together.. 20 horrible minutes later and everyone in the room trying to distract me Dr. Huff came running in and Bo's head was already crowning.. 3 quick pushes later and our sweet boy arrived at 1:26pm!  quickest delivery ever! haha..  Our little guy decided to take a couple seconds to cry and it freaked me out, but luckily he began crying!  He came our bruised and swollen and absolutely perfect!

Suddenly he was in my arms, and all my fears went away.. my heart grew, and I knew I would love him as much as I loved Bristyn.. He was absolutely perfect!!

These two cuties are best buddies and only 6 months apart.  We face time with them on a regular basis, and Bristyn has been so excited to play with Rock.  They have had such a fun time, and it breaks my heart they are going to have to say goodbye in 2 days.  I have also officially failed and took no pictures..  I am just so grateful they love each other so much and play so well together.  Now we need to go to Oregon and visit them :)

thanksgiving and pneumonia

My angel has pneumonia.  I hope I never have to say that again.  She was sick a few weeks ago and it quickly went away but she kept a random cough.  She wouldn't cough very much, just randomly so I didn't think anything of it.  Well today it got really really bad.. like to the point she couldn't breathe.. So Bruce and I rushed her to a pediatric urgent care and sure enough after a quick xray she has pneumonia.  Thankfully it isn't contagious, and will go away with antibiotics, but it still makes me sad.  Poor girl.  

As for thanksgiving.. it was a really good and laid back day.  Rocky, Stacey and Little Rock got here yesterday so it has been amazing to hang out with them.. and Bristyn adores Rock.  Bruce was hunting but came home around 6pm.. and we just laid low and hung out at my parents house.  I have so much to be thankful for.  It has been a really hard year for our family..  Actually that is an understatement.. its been horrible.. but constantly Heavenly Father is showing us his love and what we have to be grateful for.  We have 2 gorgeous healthy children and 1 on the way.  We have a marriage and relationship that is unbreakable and precious. and we have the gospel.  What more could a girl ask for??  Not only am I grateful for all we have been given, I am also grateful for our trials..  not only are they humbling, but they make you realize what is really important in life.  I am just so grateful to be sealed to my sweet family for eternity.  

20 1/2 weeks

Seriously??!?! I'm half way there?? Time goes waaay too fast when you have two kids.  When I was pregnant with Bristyn I felt like it took forever, Bo went a little faster.. and this one is flying by.  We still don't have a name for our little guy.. hopefully someday soon we will pick one!  And this pregnancy is going by so much smoother..  It's weird.  haha!  I just can't wait to snuggle my new little guy!!
