Places we love!

So I have a friend that posted all the places they love to go to eat and I thought it looked fun so I thought I would try :)  Here goes nothing...  These aren't in order, I just listed them as I thought.

1.  Tia Rosa's- They have the best taco's ever, and the flying saucer is to die for... Also yummy chips and salsa!
2.  Julio's Too- This place is amazing!  Hands down best chicken taco I have ever had, and all you can eat chips and salsa... I don't think I have ever had something here that I haven't liked!
4.  Nielsen's Frozen Custard-  Their "Finer things club" sandwich is to die for!  I could eat it every single day... Oh and they have fry sauce which I love :)
5.  Olive Garden-  I think this has been my favorite restaurant since I was a little girl, luckily Bruce likes it just as much as me!
6.  Ocean Blue Frozen Yogurt-  My 2 brothers own a couple stores, if you haven't tried it go... Its yummy.. I recommend Pistachio with crushed oreo's and sliced almonds... Sounds weird but you will not be sorry!  Thanks Stacey for introducing me to that yummy concoction I'm addicted!  Now Chad put Pistachio in please!!! (I really think you should do what your pregnant sister says! haha)
7.  Matta's-  Their food is okay (Bruce loves it) but their HOT sauce is AMAZING!!!  Not the salsa (its okay) but their hot sauce.  It is so good, I buy some to take home every time I go...  I like to get their bean and cheese burrito and cover it in their hot sauce.
8.  Bahama Bucks-  All I can say is yummy.  Strawberry Cheesecake is my favorite, and you can't forget the sweet cream!
9.  Some Burro's-  Their Pollo Fundito is to die for!
10.  Port of Subs-  Their subs are so yummy.
11.  Los Favoritos-  This place is amazing... Try their carne asada chips, you will not be disappointed!  My brother introduced this place to me in high school and thankfully Bruce loves it too!
12.  7 Compas- In the San Tan area.  This place is soooo good.  I recommend their beef chimichangas, they cover them in the best cheese sauce and they are heavenly!
13.  Pete's fish and chips (or Pirates)- I am in love with their sauce... Everything you get is so good, and the sauce makes it taste even better.
14.  Taste of China- This place is so good.

Wow, as I look at this list I realized how obsesed we are with Mexican food.  Can you tell thats all I want in this pregnancy! haha  but I promise we went to all these places just as much before I got pregnant!  What places do you go to!  I would love some new suggestions :)

Yesterday was my birthday and Bruce made it such a good day.  He took me to breakfast, and it was so much fun to just hang out and enjoy ourselves.  After breakfast he took me shopping, and then we came back home and rested.  That night my mom threw me a little family birthday party and it was alot of fun to see everyone, we even played hide and go seek! haha well I sat and watched, but it was funny to see 7 adults and  2 kids running around my parents house.  Thanks to everyone that made my day special!

half way there!!!

Well I am finally 1/2 way there! When I think about the time we found out till now, I can't believe how fast it is going... but at the same time I feel like she can not get here soon enough.  We both are so excited to have this little girl, and keep saying she needs to hurry up and get here... I have had a little tummy for awhile now, but I feel like this last week she has really started showing and I have a full little ball!  It is so fun to see the miracle of pregnancy.  I feel so lucky and blessed that Heavenly Father is trusting us with this sweet little angel.  We love you baby girl!

How far along? 20 Weeks

Weight gain/loss: I've only gained 5 pounds.
Maternity clothes? I wear sweats all day every day... But I finally bought a pair of maternity pants that I can wear.
Sleep? Luckily I still sleep really good, I just have to use the bathroom a few times in the night!
Best moment this week? Feeling our little girl move, I don't think it will ever get old!
Movement: I have felt her for a couple weeks now.  It started out as little vibrations in my tummy. I can really feel her now, and her movements are feeling more like real movements.
Food cravings: chips and salsa.  sugar cookies.  bean dip.  
Gender?: Girl!
Belly button in or out? : It is still in.
What I miss? absolutely nothing at all.  Being pregnant is the best feeling in the world!
What I am looking forward to? I get another ultra sound!  Woohoo, I have had alot with this pregnancy and I love it.  I can't get enough of our little girl :)
Milestones: I am 1/2 way there!
What I'm nervous about: Delivery.. But other than that, nothing... We are so ready for our little princess to get here!

Dear Princess,

I just wanted to write you a quick note to tell you how much your mommy and daddy already love you.  Seeing you on the ultra sound is the highlight of our life right now, and we can't believe in 4 1/2 months you will be in our arms.  Your daddy is especially excited for you...  I fall in love with him more and more when I see how excited he is to meet his little angel.  I want you to know what a great daddy you have.  Honestly, we are both lucky to have him.  He is already so protective, and takes such good care of me because he knows you are inside me.  He talks about you all the time, and when I say anything about how I am feeling he is looking it up online to make sure everything is okay.  I catch him constantly on the computer looking up stuff to buy you (sometimes its from Bass Pro and Cabelas and I have to remind him we are having a little girl haha) My favorite is when I will tell him you are moving and he tries to feel it, even though you are still to small for him to feel you.  It melts my heart to see how excited he is to have you.  We have waited so long for you, and you really are our little miracle.  Please stay safe, and remember we can't wait to see your beautiful face!  You are the answer to our prayers :)

Rocky's 30th & Baby Rock's Shower!

Last weekend we threw my brother Rocky a belated 30th Birthday Party.  It was actually planned for the day their little boy was born, but obviously we had to change it!  By the time they got back they had a cute new baby so we decided to combine Rocky's Birthday with Baby Rocky's Baby shower!  It was alot of fun.  I was lucky and Stacey had already made all the decorations, so I didn't have a whole lot I had to coordinate.  But it sure turned out fun!  We played a couple minute to win it games, and then a couple baby shower games and of course opened all their fun presents!  Congrats Rocky and Stacey, we are so happy for you.. Little Rock is such a cutie, and the best baby!  

Cabin Trip

Since Bruce is hunting up in Williams, I talked my parents, and brother and sis in law to go up to the cabin this weekend.  It was so much fun, and I could not get enough of my cute little nephew Rocky.  I love that little boy soooo much!  It was nice to get out of the heat and get some fresh, cool air.  We did alot of relaxing and hanging out.  It was a much needed break!

Since Williams is only 30 minutes from my parents cabin I begged my cute hubby to please come stay the night with me.  The first few days of being apart, I miss him alot but I can handle it.  Around the 3rd day I get really grumpy and just want my husband again... and yesterday was the third day.  I think my parents were about to leave me somewhere in the forest or something because I just needed my husband... Sure enough around 9:00 last night Bruce pulls up to the cabin and I was on cloud 9!  I love that boy so much, and I am so grateful to have him in my life!!  It was hard to say bye again, but hopefully he will be able to come home soon!  I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to have such an awesome husband, and I fall more and more in love with him every single day.

Baby Update

We were able to see our little girl again today, and it was as wonderful as ever!  We are actually pretty excited because they think I am farther along then we originally thought...  They changed my due date to February 17, 2011.  The last few ultra sounds I have had the baby has measured a week bigger, so they changed it officially today!  We are so excited for this beautiful little girl to get here and couldn't be any happier!  The best part is they couldn't see her feet, so we get to go back in 4 weeks for another ultra sound, woohoo!!!  It is such a good feeling knowing we have such a healthy active little girl..  We already love her soooo much!

I haven't done a real post in forever...

As I sit here I am completely overwhelmed with how grateful I am to be pregnant right now.  After trying for so long, you almost give up.. and I was finally at that point.  I was at a point in my life where I didn't know if I could handle it anymore, I had hit rock bottom... and Heavenly Father blessed me more than I could ever ask.  As my pregnancy continues, and I get to feel our little girl move inside me it brings tears to my eyes.  Heavenly Father has blessed us with such an unbelievable gift.  I never thought feeling little butterflies in my stomach throughout the day would be so amazing :)  I cannot wait for that wonderful day in February that I will be able to hold our little girl in my arms, for my husband to see his beautiful daughter for the first time.. and finally to bring our baby home so we can have her all to ourselves.  We are sooooo blessed!

Other than our little miracle not much is going on with us.  Bruce is getting ready for a few hunts, he actually leaves for one this week... and has a few more lined up in October and November.  Haha I DREAD the hunting season, I hate being away from my hubby!  and I am just taking it easy.  Luckily I don't have to be on bed rest, but I don't really do much... I guess I would rather be safe then sorry!  I have been in a huge crafty mood lately, so I am sure I am going to start making stuff for our little one shortly, especially while Bruce is away hunting!

Baby Rhett!

I just wanted to say how excited I am to have another new adorable nephew!!!  Rhett Monsen was born on September 1st, and he is honestly the tiniest, cutest baby ever!  We are so excited to have him in our family and even more excited that our little girl will have him so close in age :)  We love you little Rhett.

15 Weeks!

Well this week has been crazy...  Some good has come out of it though, we were able to find out that we are having a GIRL!  We are so excited.  The whole time we have both felt like it was a girl, and when she told us it was a girl just a feeling of complete peace came over me and I knew she was right.  Woohoo for girls!  On to the story..

Last Thursday was any normal day... I hadn't done much and I was feeling great.  Bruce and I went to bed around 11:00 and I did my usual bathroom trip.  Everything was normal.  At midnight I woke up having to go to the bathroom really bad which was weird cause I had just gone but I got up to go not thinking anything was weird.  As I went in I realized there was bright red blood on my garments, I  panicked thinking the worst.  I got Bruce and we rushed to the hospital.  As we were driving I was kinda shocked because I was surprisingly calm for what I just found.  As we got to the hospital they checked me to see if I was having a miscarriage and luckily there was no sign so they ordered an emergency ultra sound.  4 hours later we are on our way out the door and they told me they had no idea why I was bleeding... The baby was completely healthy, and everything looked great.  A little frustrated we left and I was glad I wasn't bleeding anymore.  I went on bed rest for the next few days just in case it was something more serious that the stupid hospital people couldn't see.  Yesterday morning I had a Dr. appointment and they said everything looks great.  They said some women will just randomly bleed and no one knows where it came from or why it came and it leaves just as quick.  I have to take it REALLY easy the next 4 weeks.. Practically bed rest, but I don't have to lay in bed all day.  As we were about to leave I asked if I could get another ultra sound just to make sure they don't see anything....  They gladly gave me one and everything looked perfect.  Our baby is absolutely healthy, and everything is developing perfect...   It was a special treat that they were able to tell us what we are having too!  :)  I go in again in 3 weeks for another ultra sound and another exam to make sure everything is still good.  It has been an eventful couple days thats for sure...

A few people have asked for a belly shot so here you go...  My amazing husband likes to call me pudge :)  Thankfully I don't take offence to it! haha

New nephew!!!

Rockford Ray Riggs V graced us with his presence on August 14, 2010.  My amazing brother and sister-in-law have been trying for 11 years, and through the miracle of adoption they finally have their very first baby boy.  It became official on August 17, 2010 and it was a party for sure!  They were in Ohio meeting the birth mom, and were only expecting to be there for a couple days, as they were sitting at the airport waiting to fly back home they get the best call in the world, she was going to the hospital to have their baby boy!  I guess he was way to excited to meet his new mom and dad :)  Now they are hanging out in Ohio until all the paperwork is processed, and I can't wait to meet my new little nephew.. I love you guys and I am SOOO happy for you, no one deserves this more than you..  Now hurry home so I can hold that cute little guy :)  I feel so blessed to know our baby is going to have some cousins so close in age!

  

12 weeks!

Today we had our 12 week appointment and it went AMAZING!!!  Can I just tell you how fun it is to actually see features on our cute little baby.  It was so fun when we first started the ultra sound it was sound asleep with its arms up to its face, then a couple minutes later it slowly started stretching then it went crazy from there!  haha...  The cute little thing was jumping around like crazy, then it started sucking its thumb, then it got hiccups..  Bruce and I were laughing so hard, it was so cute :)  It is amazing the love we already feel for this sweet little baby.  I cannot wait to hold it in my arms in 6 short months, what a blessing it is in our lives.  We have prayed so long and hard for this baby, and we are over joyed that it is about to join our family!  Here are just a few pictures, they gave us a disk with almost 40 pictures so it was hard to pick just a few, hope you enjoy :)

Other than the baby not much is going on with us, we are finally back in Arizona and LOVING it.  It was a big surprise that has turned into an absolute blessing and we couldn't be more happy.  We are staying with my parents right now and are trying to decide what we want to do, so it has been fun!  We will keep you all posted!

Color Book

Since I have had A LOT of free time on my hands I decided to make this quiet book!  It was a lot of fun, and  I hope our baby enjoys it :)  I have another one in mind that I am really excited about and I have kinda started, so I will post it when I am done!

Gold Panning

On Saturday Bruce and some of the guys from the office decided it would be fun to go Gold Panning!  We got out there around 6 when they got off, and they panned for a good 2-3 hours.. It was pretty funny to watch a bunch of grown men dig through a stream..  I wanted to do it, but Bruce told me i'm not allowed since i'm pregnant, cause all the water is pretty gross!  We actually got some gold too!  Not a lot, but we got some... And now Bruce wants to go again and again!  By the end of the day Bruce decided it would be fun to tackle Johnathan in the water so they were both soaking on our drive home!  It turned out to be a really fun Saturday, and it was a nice change from the day to day knocking!

8 weeks

Here is our baby at 8 weeks!  I love this picture cause it captures the heartbeat as well.  It was beating 167 beats per minute :)  The nurse practitioner said our sweet baby is the size of a lima bean right now.  It's crazy to think in a few short months it will be a full size baby in our arms!  Can't wait :)

This is kinda of a cool shot.  Its hard to see sorry!  But the baby is the bigger oval to the left, and then you can see the yolk sac to the right... and then if you look really hard there is a darker white line going up to the baby and that is the umbilical cord starting to form!  The nurse said this is a really rare shot!

We're PREGNANT!!!

We couldn't hold it in anymore!  We are so excited to be having this baby it is not even funny...  After trying for 2 years, and 1 miscarriage our little miracle has finally decided to join us!!!!  I am 8 weeks along and doing awesome!  We have had the amazing opportunity to hear the heartbeat twice already and it has brought tears to our eyes every single time.  What an amazing blessing it is to be able to get pregnant, and for the opportunity Heavenly Father is giving us to raise this sweet baby. My due date is February 24, 2011!!!   Life is amazing :)
